This is so entertaining. It's not funny I can remember a few times of such anxiety, but it's still kinda funny. To the OP your plant is fine, to everyone else post pics.
I wish I would have thought of it while I was in my room 20 minutes ago, I could have found a nanner somewhere to take some photos. I have a couple strains that ALWAYS sprout a couple nanners out but they're always sterile nanners. I never get any seeds from them.
In my personal experience, male flowers showing in the last 2 weeks of flower never cause any issues other than looking sinister, but other than cosmetic imperfection it doesn't cause any seed. Hell there were even a few strains I've ran over the years that popped full blown nanners before week 6 of flower, I'm talking fully opened and spreading pollen and it caused bout 3 seeds on the single branch the nanner was on. I used to cull any strains that hermied no matter how late they hermed but I have learned to identify a true hermie apart from a stress-induced sterile nanner or two and as long as nothing hermies before the home stretch I don't mind keeping the cross dressing wierdos.
Male flowers are pretty easy to tell apart from female flowers after you have seen a few of them. A male flower really stands out and is easy to see when just doing routine work in the garden. They are bright yellow and they look like a micro banana poking straight out of a bud. Theres no mistaking a male flower. You will know it when you see it and there will be no doubt in your mind as to what it is.
I'll try to remember to get a shot of a male flower on one of my plants tomorrow during work time. Knowing my memory though, I'll probably forget unless I have a RIU alert to remind me tomorrow. Forgive me, my short term memory isn't exactly polished.
