So I put my paraffin heater on in the greenhouse last night and woke up to black soot covered plants! Gutted. Don’t think they will come back from it. The bud sites are black , leaves black pistils black everything is black

Leaf blower. I hear the back pack works nice.

If you think its a goner then taking a hose and trying to spray all that off and letting it sit in the sun might help.

With the ash from the fires out here I had to do that 6 times this summer. Never had an issue. They even seemed to like it a bit.

I say let sit in the sun so it dries out so you don't end up with bud rot.

Yeh I sprayed them down earlier and just classed that as watered too still look a bit dirty in places but mostly good. Greenhouse was 27oC so dried out quick with the door open. I’m not sure I’ll get anything from them this year. Still early flowering and Scottish weather has turned for the worst again so they won’t get much direct sunshine from now on. Nights are now 4oC and that’s slowing them down. Was 5 weeks out in starting
