This is my very first grow. Its northern lights & my grow set up is beyond basic. Basic "John innes" soil pretty low wattage fluro bulbs.I'm about three - four weeks in. The going is slow but i'm willing to wait. I made the mistake of adding nutes early and witnessed a little browning of the leafs and a little curling.

That was about a week ago. I've attached a couple of pics for some good samaratin to cast their eye over. how does it look? Have i totally fucked up?

The pics are pretty lo-res, sorry, but you should get the idea.

Thanks and warm regards from Scotlands glorious West Coast.

they look pretty good. becareful about overwatering. good rule of thumb is to start very light nutes when the cotyledons beging yellowing-these leaves are their primary food source for first couple weeks of life similar to an egg sac that surrounds the yolk

Thanks Smokey, I may have been over eager with the water. I used a tiny amount of miracle grow in a litre of water and that seemed to cause the problem. how long should i wait until getting the nutes started?

flush the soil with pH balanced water, turn on a fan in your grow area then let the soil dry out for 2 or 3 days. this should bring back the life and vigor of the plant. and while your at it i advise you get a moisture wand to know when you should water. another thing to know is you shouldnt be adding any nutrients until the 5 or 6 week of vegging otherwise like you said it will cause nute burn, good luck

Those look good, your using flows so they start slow. just keep the lights close.

==============================================================

A t-12 set up is cheap and works.

I have this set up I use from time to time.

They can grow into it for a few hours to a day they stay cool.

My set up is (4) 24" T-12's 20 watts each at 6500k it's a light blanket.

I also have some 2600ish k's (don't use but may add to my hps room for some side lights).
These thing may be old school but you can not f--- it up.

slow at first then it takes off like a weed.
