Paranoid, which set-up is safest

Im moving out of my moms trailer in january and i have a bunch of equitment and all the knowledge i need to grow a good amount of dope if i want. Heres a short list of my stuff
1000watt hps
(2) 400 watt hps
(3) ez hoods
25' 6" ducting
424 clf inline fan
6" carbon scrubber
If i wanted i could rent out a 2br and convert one of the bedrooms with 1800 watts. However i would be the only person on a 2br lease and my electric bill would be around $130-$150 while everyone elses is around $80.
Another thought that just came to mind is i could rent out a 1br and hang the 1000watter in a 3x2 closet. This would be much more inconspicuous, my electric bill would be more around the lines of $70-$90 and 1 person renting a 1br is not all that shady.
However im worried how this would affect my yield. I know a 1000watt hps can produce a 500g crop, but this is suposed to be over a 5x5 area. What would my yield be in a 3x2?
I could also get a delux 1br which has 3 linen closets (2x2) and hang a 400hps in 2 of them.
In order for this operation to be a success i need to yield around 400g every 3 months. I dont think i have enough closet space:/ and flankly the 2br idea is keepin me up at night
maybe ill rent a 1br and sleep in the living room lol. Thats actualy a thought :/

Here's the thing, you can get by with just the 1000 watter, but I would have reservations about putting that sucker in such confined spaces(2x2, 2x3). For starters, heat may become an issue. With the right hood that can be resolved, but I really think your proposed closet spaces won't provide enough room for your plants to bush out. In my opinion, the ideal size for the light and your yield goal is 4x4. I know they're not too stealthy, but a grow hut/tent would be the way to go, unless you could find some kind unassuming-looking cabinet or armoire. The notion of devoting an entire room for growing is intriguing, but not a good idea unless you own your home.

This guy is offering some good input......i second much of what he says....you could go Clone to Flower and use the 400W in a 2x2 or 2x3 closet....or 2 closets....one each with a 400W HPS and flower on a 4 week schedule....put clones in flower wait 4 weeks....put clones in flower in the other closet....wait 4 weeks harvest first closet and replace with new clones.....wait 4 weeks.....do the same to the other closet.....etc...etc..

With temps kept at 74-78f and RH at 45-55% you should yield 1g/per watt......my system, under optimal conditions with 2 closets will produce 400g (14oz) per month and you will only use 800W in flower----even shitty conditions should give you .5g/watt (7oz/month).....Veg mums and clones with a good HO Floro and you will be the new Weed Baron on the block. I don't think the electric company will mind your bill being higher than your neighbors....if you pay on time you are just another good customer....

yea i agree, if anyone walks into the bedroom im busted. Also the 2br with one person is realy fishy looking. However i dont think the apt has enough closet space to get it done
1br: 2 3x2 closets, one next to front door
1br delux: 2 2x2 closets, one 3x2 closet, one 3x3 closet, not near front door. Unfortunity closets arent near another, i would need additional inline fans and scrubbers, at $200 a pair, worth lookin into frankly
2br: 2 3x2 closets, one 3x3 which is right next to the front door
Looking at it on paper, or screen, it looks like the 1br delux might be the answer, but i gotta go and drop another $200 for it to work. Probably better to have 2 scrubbers though to realy kill the smell.
Another note is that the prices are gay for these apt lol

so it realy almost makes sense to get a 2br just because at $40 a month you cant go wrong. If it wasnt bein used for the project i would still grab it, but it is gona look odd on paper

yea i like the 2 closet idea, i might go with it. It is much more stealthy then a grow room.

You know its not unusual for ppl to have extra BRs.....Many have an office/cpu room/tv room/guest room or a combination of these....If you are in the US as I am then you know most people have enough crap for two extra bedrooms. Kind of like the electric co. If you pay rent on time--the complex doesn't care if you have a 5 BR--You're just a good tenant.

I am not an advocate of rentals for growing.....just so you know--But you are over-analyzing it a bit....just remember your landlord doesn't automatically assume "grower" because you want a 2 BR.....just don't be hauling in (or out) a bunch of conspicuous crap...

but ya bro no worries on the 2 bed thing, they dont care as long as you pay, and if you have someone you trust, have em come with you and just say he will be living there but has bad credit so its all going under my name. believe me they just want the commission for the rental, they dont give a shit what you do

Thanks man...I had checked out you thread and the vert build a while back....props there too....I like the system......I had been checking out some vert ideas too....

I have a rental property and the tenants are moving out....was considering keeping it...ummm...vacant...ya, ya, vacant (except for some octagonal cabinets..a la Heath, hehehe)

thanks for all the comments. Im still undecided on which plan to go with, luckily i have a while until i have to decide. I may actualy go with the 2br and just use the closets anyway. It would be cool to have all that extra space and if i ever balls up i can still change the 2nd room lol. But the 2 3x2 closets with a 400hps each will yield just fine, maybe ill put the 1000 in one of em. I dont know where im hangin all my stuff though lol
