partial harvest.

Can I harvest the top 1/2 of my 3' high, outdoor grow??? It seems like the top 1/2 of the plant is ready, but the buds on the lower 1/2 need a little more time.. Any advice is welcome.

You could if u jus need some smoke but if not id jus leave it If nothin else the top should resin up some more cant see the top of a plant bein weeks ahead of the bottom. gud luck

If you're outside you're just reaching full out flower nothing is harvest-able yet!

the tops or colas do ripen earlier than the rest, and in my experience I have taken the top buds WHEN THEY ARE MATURE THO and left the ones on the bottom to mature, I actually liked the lil buds on the bottom after leaving it almost until the first frost. they seem to have a nice flavour to them, I dont know about potency tho....

I would just let the whole thing ripen up if you are unsure, cant do it any harm

Dude give it time I'm pretty sure your plant has at least a month to go.
