Thanks so much bro! Good looking out, as to the primer,I'm thinking it's not science, but when it comes to possibly leaking water all over your stuff, you can't be too careful lolUse ABS glue on bulkheads, no primer. And I used PVC primer and glue on the PVC fittings. Primer isnt really necessary since it wont be pressurized but I used it.
Exactly that. 3/4 thread with 1/2 barb.@Axion42 Dude my bad, what are you using to connect the 1/2" tubing to the pvc crosses? Just a pvc 3/4" to 1/2" barb?
Home DepotDo you remember the company that made the totes? I'm looking at Amazon and a few companies make a "tough tote"
Used Sch40 PVC and these bulkheads from AmazonSo all the lines are 2" and only a single waterfall in the rez?
What type of pipe and bulkhead are you using? Its it on Amazon? Do you silicone or cement everything together? Or get all threaded stuff for disassembly/cleaning?
Thanks for helping btw bro! I really appreciate it!
Sweet, thanks dude. So then all the crosses are threaded, no slips?Exactly that. 3/4 thread with 1/2 barb.

They have these at Lowes/home depot
Thanks man!Home Depot
Outstanding! Thanks brother!Used Sch40 PVC and these bulkheads from Amazon

My grow space is a 5x5 space with 2 totes connected on each side and a connector pipe from side to side. The last tote in line has a 1.5" bulkhead connected to the 700gph mag-drive pump outside the totes and then a 3/4" line running a 'u' around the room's perimeter back to the 1st tote and a pair of waterfalls. I used clear silicone sealant on the pipe joints so I can break down the system for cleaning. It's a really simple system, I don't even have a chiller in this system(got one for next year) that will grow a huge amount of flower.

I forgot to mention that my system doesn't use a 'control' rez. All that I'm doing is connecting 4 large DWC totes together, sucking nutes from one tote and dumping them back in the first tote. That does two things-aerates the solution and induces a small height or pressure differential across the connected totes and solution flows through each tote and root mass back to the end rez. Like I said it's really simple and seems to be very effective.Used Sch40 PVC and these bulkheads from Amazon

Oic! Thanks dude, man, hydro is more engineering than plant-husbandry.The crosses I used are all slip, I just used 3/4 slip x 1/2 thread bushings, also from Lowes.

ThanksOutstanding! Thanks brother!
Those are real monsters in the last pic. Foreal they look straight up like Triffids!
Yeah that seemslike a simple way to go.I forgot to mention that my system doesn't use a 'control' rez. Holy crap, that's like something you'd see from some outdoor stuff lol. Good work! Thanks
That's the Aurora I'm currently waiting for her to finish. She completely fills a 2x3 area-makes it a bit challenging for me to navigate with my prosthetic leg. I had a light failure about a month ago-thought I had a driver failure but finally found a wiring fault-not a fun job for this cripple to snake through a sea of colas to rewire, hence the mess of hanging wires...

This is her trunk-it's as big as my wrist and I'm a big guy...
It's just a few pipes and fittings really simple. I'll be doing a journal when I startup my new system after my current run is finished, some new genetics I'm trying out should be goodOic! Thanks dude, man, hydro is more engineering than plant-husbandry.
She's still running-I thought that it was getting close but she has done a major spurt this week so I'm still waiting.Yeah that seemslike a simple way to go.
That's awesome dude, those ladies are huge. Have they been harvested yet or is that your current run? If harvested what was the yield?
