I am not so sure Phillip Morris could under cut growers...the only reason why tobacco is regulated is because it is hard to grow and most of the country does not have the right growing conditions to cultivate it..weed is the complete opposite...the sun is free.

How much illegal booze and cigarettes are coming from mexican drug cartels???
non existent. legalizing illegal substances takes business away from mobs, cartels, drug dealers because you can go to the store and buy it for a lot less/safer and better quality. If cannabis was legal, they would take a major hit. I doubt they would disappear because there are plenty of illegal drugs people still want.

They would invest in growing better weed and legally ship it north.

i like the idea of producers being licensed, same as with booze.

i don't want to drink some bathtub blend, just like i don't want to smoke someone's moldy, chemical ridden weed.

full re-legalization. like any commodity, regulate and tax it.

Big deal
they can now without recourse from you
decide
If you get that license
limit the number of licenses permitted
and define what they believe is minimal requirements for your production facility

Now your back to square one with the goverment controlling weed

back to square one would be ideal since we are talking about re-legalization.

and everything you listed only applies to producers, not personal consumption.

i'm afraid we disagree on re-legalization versus decriminalization.

Ah BUck
my plan is better
Make it legal to grow and possess
Illegal to sell

I know you may have to move on from selling treadmills to maybe selling health club memberships
But it will take away all profit motive and weed would be legal

That is what you are striving for....right?

i am not trying to take profit motive away from any commodity that people work hard to produce and which others place a high value on. that would be stupid.
