pc construction

ive recently started my first grow and i was looking into making it a pc grow. ive gutted out everything except the cage that holds the hdd and cd drives and such. ive heard that you need a drill bit to get this off. is this true? is there any other way of this happening? please help!

i originally had plans on an outdoor grow then move indoors when the weather permits but things happened and my situation changed and the seeds already popped. i dont wanna let me die and right now their just under 3 2700k cfl's ( 2 left, accidently snapped the third tryings to get the seed shell off sadly) any ideas on a quick stealth rig?

Well If you have an old cabinet or dresser they can can be used easily to make a very nice stealth grow. Just make sure it's tall enough... Just take the front panels of the drawers and glue them in place to make them look closed. Layer the inside with some reflective material (panda film) or paint the inside white. Add a bit of ventilation with a computer fan or two, add the lights and make a door that can be opened of back of cabinet. If you need more info on how to scent proof or anything like that let me know.

thank you for the reply. i dont have a dresser or cab at my disposal at the moment but i do have a book shelf. stands 4 ft tall and 1.5x3 ft. i think im gonna throw some hinges on the inside and make a door and paint it to look like accent furniture lol but i have found a to get the cage off my cpu box as i still want to do that. instead of drilling them out im simply using a wedge and hammer to "pop" them out. have to be really careful or the frame will dent. but thank you for the reply.

and as for the smell proof, i was thinking of making one of those buckets with the ona gel things and throw in some of my own "spices" lol. again, thank you for replying.

aside from the reflective material that will be going in tomorrow, ive pretty much finished my box. # pc fans and 2 cfl's of mixed spectrum. lost the other bulb somehow so have to get that tomorrow along with the reflective material.

Update! so far i have 2 cfl's in there and adding a third soon. im also going to use urine as fert. i figured that they could get much more from that then from some store bought shit. just have to remeber to DILUTE and feed every third feeding with a days break every 2 feedings. that means if you start on day 1 then i will feed again day 4 and again on day 8 and so on. i only plan on feedings about 5 times though because i dont want the plants to smell like piss lol

"Urine as fert." With such a small grow why are you even rationalizing not buying the $5 worth of fertilizer you're going to need for your grow?

just make sure you drop a big dump in the pc case before flowering to help with mildew air problems.
