you always need air circulating so yes, 24/7

i have my fans plugged in same circuit as lights, controlled by the timer of that room.

i keep my fan on only during the hours that the lights are runnin'.my place is drafty and can get cool at times so i run my lights at night now.cold will stunt their growth alot.
