Peanut Butter OGKB - Original Sensible Seeds

I've got a couple of these currently 5 weeks into 12/12. I got the seeds as freebies and thought I'd give them a try. The genetics are 'Do-Si-Dos x Cherry Pie Kush', so I was expecting an indica dominant. Based on my experience with the two strains the cross is made from I was prepared for a bit of stretch. What I've ended up with though is one plant that's about 4ft 6inches and one which is about 4ft (they were put in to flower at about 6 inches) - I have plenty of head room so this isn't a problem, just a surprise. They also both have extremely sativa looking leaves - as sativa as I've ever seen.

I've got a couple of Spumoni flowering as well, along with a blue cheese, and a strain from Ali Bongo called 'Bongo Cookies' (GMO x GSC). All these strains are being marketed as 9-10 week indica dominants - but the Peanut Butter OGKB looks about a month behind the others, both in trichome development and bud structure. My guess is that these Peanut Butter OGKB are going to take at least 12 weeks, maybe longer.

I'm putting this thread up here to see if anyone else has had experience with this strain, or the breeder - Original Sensible Seeds. I love a good sativa, and have a couple of sativa dominant flowering as well right now - 'Monster Profit' from 'Heavyweight Seeds' (pretty much white widow x amnesia haze) and it feels strange that an indica dominant looks like it might take a month longer than them.

I'll take some pictures in due course, and post them on here. I had a similar experience recently with 'Gorilla Girl' from 'Sweet Seeds' (Gorilla Glue x Girl Scout Cookies). 13 week sativa dominants from a strain marketed as 9-10 week indica dominant. The quality of those was exceptional though, if unexpected - nothing like either strain it was made from, but as good a cat piss haze as I've ever had.

Hi. I've taken some pictures as promised (they aren't the greatest as I'm out of practice with my camera - but they illustrate what I need them to). The first picture is just the Peanut Butter OGKB, the second picture is the same plant next to a Spumoni of the same age. Like I said in my first post, I am very surprised at the height differences for two strains with very similar genetics. As you can see the leaves of the PB OGKB are seriously sativa, and the buds havan't even come close to maturing (apart from the one or two brown hairs from polination from a couple of hermie male flowers), and have hardly any trichomes yet. I've finished off with a couple of bud shots of the spumoni to show the difference in maturation and trichome development.

I'm still holding out hope that the PB OGKB will finish as great bud. This thread is really to warn people that this strain isn't a 9-10 week indica dominant - and instead looks like a 12 week+ sativa dominant. I notice that Original Sensible Seeds have an account on here and would be interested in some input from them. How common is this monster sativa phenotype? I have another one flowering that is a different phenotype, again sativa looking, but not as stretchy, greater trichome development - with what looks like being a huge central cola. The second phenotype looks like being about an 11 weeker.

One thing I'm curious about is where this sativa dominance has come from. The only sativa in them is Durban Poison, and the Lemon Thai in the OG (which should be pretty recessive). Interested to hear any thoughts you guys have.

Some more pictures from week 7 of 12/12. She has come along pretty well - far more trichomes now. Still a fair way off all the other 9-10 week strains that are flowering along side her. I've included a couple of pictures of blue cheese buds to show the difference. I'm still convinced the peanut butter OGKB is at least 80% sativa dominant (with no idea where that sativa dominance is coming from - because it certainly doesn't look like any Durban Poison I've ever seen, and to imagine that the Thai in the OG kush has become dominant feels absurd).

Damn how did i miss this?? I've been on a straight PB-kick and trying to uncover all the PB strains, i definitely missed this one

So, how is it?? Have you ever had the original PBB and how does this plant stack up to it?
