Peltier Cooler

Anyone ever tried to cool a small grow box or cab using a "peltier cooler"? Here is a link:

It is used in those quick, one bottle wine coolers:

Seems like it would be a perfect fit for a smaller grow box.

im gunna BUMP this 3 year old thread and state my little idea.

Why cant you have a peltier with a small heat sink on the cold side blowing into your grow cab- and have the hot side run by a CPU liquid cooler. Have the CPU part mounted to the peltier instead of the CPU.

Maybe put this whole setup in a section of the box thats sealed from the plants and blow the hot air in the section of the box blown out to the room its in. The CPU should cool down the hot side enough i would think.

I mean - for my micro grow its like 7 cubit feet or something so it should be sufficient.

To bad this is old. damn it would be a great talk. ive been trying a few different things now with the peltier units and i like the results for the most part. man i wish i had pics. i had one on the hetsink and the blades of the sink in a square duct with a booster fan. it worked really food. although my box(12x24x320 was always about 60f( a lil cold i think). and im dont know of a way to control temp, i guess hook it up to a therastat. good luck if this is ever read
