People that do without

Wanted to start a thread for those who live in the 37 states that don't have MMJ. People who self medicate are also welcome to post. Felt that people who don't have the advantage of MMJ deserved a place to post their thoughts, struggles and experiences. Maybe if others can see the pain and hurt that we go threw it can do some good for the cause.

I will start. After moving back home I no longer have access to marijuana for my depression and insomnia. Went to my family doctor and now I am taking Pristiq. Was on a different antidepressant during the past school year but it caused some serious ED (erectile dysfunction). Currently having to take Benefiber to help with the hemorroids caused by persistent constipation/diarrhea (yes it causes both). About 2 times a week I wake up and regret it. The whole day I wish that I had just died in my sleep. Before the meds I would lash out at friends and family in anger over silly things. I would cry for no reason and stop as suddenly as it started. At least with the Pristiq I only get angry with myself. Sry if that was TMI for some of you.

Trust me, if I could find it, I would smoke it legal or not. I don't know anyone here that smokes and the only way to buy in Phoenix is to have a connection.

I know this is a dumb question but why cant you do a super stealthy grow. With timers and auto watering systems these shits grow themselves.

Don't feel comfortable growing in my Grandparent's house (where I am). They have been nice enough to let a 21 yr old live rent free in their home.

I am really thinking about moving to Cali but I have no money for rent. I would fucking camp for the rest of my life but from what I understand you gotta have an address to get a state ID and you have to be a resident to get a MMJ card (and the state considers you homeless if your living in a tent, no matter how badass it is )

It's not illegal to ask people.

The crime is possession or intent to sell. Not intent to buy. You could ask a cop for a joint. He can't do shit.

If the prescription screwed me up that much, I would find a way. Other than help sleeping occasionally I don't use pot medically, but I have seen some people suffering from cancer and one from MS. Every time I see someone like that I get so pissed off thinking about pot being illegal. I feel terrible for the people that suffer because some fucking government bureaucrats and, even worse, pharmaceutical companies fight so hard to keep natural medicine out of the hand of the sick.

One thing I've found helpful for falling asleep is deep breathing exercises. Slowly inhale fully, and slowly let it all out, repeat.

Also, try to eliminate stimulants from your diet, such as caffeine(or for that matter alcohol and cigarettes, if applicable). For depression there are various herbs which promote feelings of well-being and mood-enhancement that are perfectly legal and easily obtainable.

St. Johns wort and kava kava together have worked well for me(they also help insomnia), even gingko(also a 'brain booster') aids in anti-depression. I also eat a lot of basil, thyme, sage, and rosemary; some of my favorite herbs. I don't really care for ginger. It tastes weird. Just getting a few hours of sun light can help depression(like a mile walk).

Also, regular daily (aerobic/cardio) exercise is great for both insomnia and depression.

Not true... Higher quality stuff is not as readily available in a lot of the states that don't have medical exemptions. This is a fact.

Definitely, huge difference between the 'street bud' here and the 'street bud' I would get in some of the other states in which I have lived.
