Problem: The perimeter of my babies leaves are curing up

Day: 14 (since planted)

Lighting: 400w HPS 15.5 Inch from plant tops, 18/6 schedule

Watering: 3-4 days or when soil is dry. No nutes

Fan is on during the lighting hours

Can anyone diagnose my girls?

you want there to be a little water coming out the drain holes on the bottom of the pot, then stop. hope this helps

see my pot has drain holes and then like this built in pan that is under it. i cant even see the drain holes and the only thing i see is this little gap that runs the whole perimeter of the pot.

ya ive got some pots with those pans. you can give them a nice tug and it will pop off. then just set the pot on top of it, so you can see the water run-off. does that make sense?

yea it does, thanks. But are you sure its over water? I thought when that occurs the leaves shrivlle but stay green. These are looking like they are drying up almost.

of course im not positive. no one could tell you the exact answer. but something is def wrong. but im really thinking its over watered. that is the most common mistake with new growers, just wanna keep it well watered. let that soil dry ALMOST to a crisp before you water. then water GENEROUSLY

hey I dont mean to jack the thread but i got the same problem , plus growth has seemed to slow down also. I am also using a 400 watt mh . instead of soil im using a dwc system . my plants are 15 days old and only a couple of the leafs are doing it. any sugestions ? oh and by the way the roots are in the water already with very light nuts bc boost and bc grow with thrive alive . ppm is at 600 but my normal tap water is at 175-200 ppm so thats about 400 ppm of nutes right ? the ph of the tap water is 8.7- 8.9 before i adjust it down to 5.8 . sorry kroncone to jack the thread but I seem to have the same problem and thought we might get a lil more help since its 2 of us and not 1 lol

Hey guys the last picture where the leaf edges fold over on themselves, that is heat stress. Lower the air temps and that will stop.

Word I am feeling this pain too. My shits have curled up at the sides hardcore like tacos. I will begin this practice of letting it dry to a crisp and then watering liberally. Thanks yall
