I currently do that with my mix 20/30%coco. With soil and perlite makes a light and fluffy soil and It takes 2/3 days to dry so I can water/nutes my next grow ill be going 40perlite 40 coco and 20 soil and use standard soil nutesGreat thread! subbed! Please more soil to coco discussion! What about just adding some coco to the soil mixture?
Once you actually get over that stigma of HYDRO you will kick yourself...I did! My thoughts exactly but once I saw a few different set ups I realized that it was for me and have not looked back since. I now service over a dozen gardens and there is only one running soil in my total route. I think he is running 50/50 with a topper of hydrotons JASBut coco has so much more shit involved and it more like hydro and and not as forgiving as soil
Very nice buds!! Do you get by without nutes using Supersoil and 50% perlite?I haven't tried Hydro or Coco...yet...but I found the best soil right here on these pages, it's https://www.rollitup.org/organics/539844-subs-supersoil.html and the perlite IMHO depends on what "you" need...like this, I use a 50/50 mix of supersoil and perlite cause I like to water more and it dries faster so they get plenty of air to their roots also, but if you don't have the time to take care of them like that you may consider less perlite...my buddy swears by his 30% perlite in the same mix, but he's also gone because of his work for 2 or 3 days at a time, so he waters less but retains more...me I water every 3rd day my mix drains "really well"..lol..so the 1st day they're wet, the 2nd they're dry and the 3rd I water again, kinda like a bubbler brings fresh water constantly to your roots...same idea in soil, for me, I may be wrong, but it's working good so far, I get 6 ounces + off of each plant....so it's opinoin, and need, you'll find what works best for you after a run or two...good luck and welcome to RIU...and I'll put up a few pics to let you see what subs supersoil and a 50/50 perlite mix does for me, this is just my 3rd grow BTW...

Yeah I know hydro is so much better and all that stuff but growing isn't legal in the uk and I don't fancie going out spending how ever much on ph meters and all the other stuff involved to have it all seized by policeOnce you actually get over that stigma of HYDRO you will kick yourself...I did!
