So you think I should run autos in the small tent and continue running photos that are trained and vegged longer in the other tent?Best way to learn for me , was trial and error
I tried to save ya from some of that but if you think you have plenty of room...hey its your grow
I think after a few cycles you will have a much better understanding how hard it is to keep a perpetual caught up without a large veg area
You should do what ever ya likeSo you think I should run autos in the small tent and photos that are trained in the other like I’ve been doing?
Guess you haven’t grown any good ones! I hated them too but Girl Scout cookie extreme from ILGM is a beast auto my friend. That’s why I’m in the situation I’m in, these autos are heavy but I also wanna run photos. I don’t know what to do. To be completely honest I’ve never had to grow in these small spaces, it’s just where I’m living now I don’t have a spare room. My partner took the spare room as an office unfortunately. I would usually be doing a 5x5. And use the 2x4 to veg in. But I’m in a tight spot literally. You should do what ever ya like
I hate auto's
On a positive note after a couple cycles you'll be able to plant those auto's outdoors and catch up on smoke
one issue would be if something goes wrong with the plants you lose 4 months or more i get 4 harvests a year by vegging less than a month each plant about 8 ounces all photos i veg in the flower room and move them under a smaller light for the other 6 hours of light if that makes senseBasically what you’re saying is fill the 8 square feet with 32 clones? You said 4 plants per sqft. That is insane! Why not veg 3 plants for 3 months, flip and get 16-18oz twice a year with 4 runs of autos as well? Idk I was just curious. With the photo runs that I know yield well with that schedule of around 4.5-5 months, I think I could easily pull 4oz every 90 days with the autos 4 times a year so that puts me around 16oz. So with the two photo harvests and 4 autos that’s around 50oz per year which is plenty. All those clones sounds like a headache.

Jesus Christ man you’re stuck on that. For the last time! There is room! Maybe not as much room as YOU think is needed but there is enough. That small tent is 5 sqft. That is plenty to veg 3 clones and a mom. I don’t understand how you don’t get that. Yeah it will be tight but it will work. Is it ideal? No, but it will work. Have you done it? Do you have the facts to back up the claim that I don’t have enough space? Because from my math it looks beyond doable. 3 clones that are vegged go into flower when the others come down, leaves me half of that small tent to put my propagation tray in with cuts. When they take, I move them to a pot double the size of a solo for 2 weeks then move them into 5 gallon buckets. All the while, the mom is still in the corner. It will work. The math makes sense and that’s always been good enough for me.Which brings us back to my first post
"You don't have enough veg space to run a perpetual
Focusing on training and solo plants is your best strategy for yield
Wanting yield and variety takes lots of space"
Well, I happen to think that there is more than enough room as well for that idea. This is a 27 x 27 Mars hydro with 4 autos in it. 1 is smaller not in flower yet but this size tent will definitely support a mother and 3 clones like the OP was thinking on. Clearly it’s supporting some great growth with room to spare. I would say go for it OP. Either option sounds logical but I tend to agree that the clones will provide stability. If you want great harvest every 75-90 days I would clone. Leaving no room for autos to flower at different times as your clones will trigger all together and be consistent.…. OP , plenty of seasoned growers just gave you plenty of options ( i run SOG also at times ) and have done perpetual autos ( sets of 4 every 3 or 4 wk ) .
Clone starts are more “ consistent “ at harvest. I was gonna chime in but me thinks you are not listening.
Back to my omelette
I would do what they said . 1 mother, well maintained to avoid height issues and then the 3 clones. Those clones should easily get 7 weeks of veg with 2 weeks of root time so 9 weeks total then when the first round comes down send the first round of clones in to flower. I’m sure they will yield well after 7 weeks of veg. An exact number who knows but the yield will be decent for 3 clones with a 7 week veg no doubt.1 tent with bonsai mothers and veg clones, 1 tent set to 12/12 flower small clones, like you've already been told. Autos are meh plus you have the added cost of seeds.
Perpetuals are a lot of work, you'll probably get burnt out.
Classic perpetual SOG…… yessss.Running a veg tent with a mother plant and some clones and putting a bunch of small clones into flower every few weeks would give you your best yields vs the amount of time and resources it takes to grow the plants.
That’s the whole point of a perpetual SOG. Low space constant cycles. Some people don’t even veg. I’ve done it. I’ve taken clones that are full of roots and put them straight into flower. Fifteen Square pots In a 3 x 4 space lollie popes under a 300 W LED. I got average 1-2 oz a plant. Not sure how that would give me my best yields. Plus I just don’t have the space for a lot of plants.
You could run a mother in a 2x4. She’s going to need some age though. At least a month or two. You might have to do some training and trimming. See low and limited light if You don’t want it to get crazy. I put my mothers in miracle grow and those mothers grow fast!Ok I have been running a perpetual for years but if you say you can do it you're a better than me
Good luck finding 60 day plants and Welcome to RIU
