Personal Medical Grow in Coco. [Chem D, Grape Romulan, Grapefurit Haze, Casey Jones]

Phosphorous deficiency, probably an active transport, you can see it a little bit on some of the other leaves as well. Its nothing too scary, but there are numerous causes, potassium in the next watering usually helps, especially if it accompanied by a little phosphorous. could also be simply uneven available nutrient levels, which would also be cured by a light feeding.

Damn Bender, it looks like another amazing grow finishing up in Bender Land. Buds look great and nice calyx development.

looking nice bender :weed:

question tho, what happened to the brown tip on the leaf in the bottom left of the picture? I ask because Im seeing something similar forming on a couple of my plants

I see this slight purpling on a lot of the Indica strains, LA, OG Kush, Headband....think it's part of the genetics and their thirst for specific nutes...or just the way they are. That OG has classic looks to it, the downward dark green bud leaves. Very nice.

PEace out,

glad to hear it's a pretty common occurrence.
doesn't look like it's affecting the quality at all either ;-)

na it too much potassium or someshit like that it has to do with coco coco has chemicals in it that store k idk exactly ?? hold on ill get it now ....Let’s have a look at coco coir. It starts out with a better pH of 5.5. But the problem with this medium is that
magnesium and calcium binds to coco and doesn’t want to easily release. And that’s not good. Your plants need to be
able to get to those nutrients.
Now if you add dolomite lime, as a lot of companies out there will do because dolomite is cheap to use and made
up of magnesium and calcium carbonate and a source of alkalinity, that will eventually raise your growing mediums pH
and this is not what you want to do. So what do you do? You would solve the problem by adding chelated calcium and
magnesium either to the coir or in the base nutrients.
Unfortunately, other nutrient companies won’t do this because of the very high added expense, but that is exactly
what we put in all the base nutrients at Advanced Nutrients. However Advanced Nutrients doesn’t make a specific coco
nutrient yet.
Coco coir also has a lot of potassium so you’ll
need to use a fertilizer with reduced potassium so you
don’t end up with potassium toxicity.
There is one other thing to be aware of: low quality
coconut husks are often soaked in salt water as part of
the manufacturing process to break down the husks and
quite often not properly flushed by the coir manufacturer
overseas.
You’ll need to make sure that the extra salt is
flushed out of your medium with water by either yourself
or the manufacturer you’re buying it from before using
it.

Sounds logical, but I still see the slight purpling in indica dominant strains.....

Yeh bender, were you at bru, not over at that other website I found you on...hehe.

Peace, DST

Welcome back Mr. Bender. I would say the only one that looks male is the Slee Skunk, but I agree it is too early to tell for sure. They look close though, you should see some white hairs on the females soon. They look very healthy Bro.

Thanks buddy. Damn dude, I really hope that the slee isn't a male as I only have 1 going. I do have 3 more beans for it though. I wouldn't mind if an LA Skunk was a male. Yeah hope to find out in a few days.

Thanks man. Yeah I love smart pots, that is the pot of my choice. Only use plastic or styrofoam for really small pots if I need to.
