The dirt on the leaves is compost tea to try to combat the pests seeds. I had pests during veg and used the seeds from peppers, and used garlic in water to make a solution and the pest stopped. Idk if it was forsure because of the solution or if its cuz I added perlite to the of my coco coir. Back then I had a couple soil grows but threw them out. I added 2 soil cups and got pest again. If I take out the cups that should solve my problem since pest cant repopulate in perlite or coco coir?

The type of pests you have determines the course of action to take.
I am battling spider mites in my current grow during flower. I used all sort of solutions to start with. I used neem seed oil, insecticidial soap, green cleaners and amazing dr. zymes. All these things actually did more harm than good since they were in the 4th week of flower when I discovered them. Lots of leaves were falling as a result of the treatment solutions and spider mites. So, I looked into biological solutions. I got 1500 lady bugs and 1500 predatory mites. I only released 1/3rd of them in my 2X4 grow room. But these creatures helped me salvage my girls. I have the spider mites problem under control since the last three weeks with the help of ladybugs and predatory mites. They have been a lifesaver.
So if you are in flower, I really suggest you to get some ladybugs and predatory mites, They work for all different kind of pest including thrips, whiteflies and spider mites. Get the special blend predatory mites if you end up getting those. You can order the ladybugs from amazon directly. It’s dirt cheap. I paid $3.99 for 1500 ladybugs and $11 shipping. As for Predatory mites cost a little more around $20 for 2000 predatory mites and $10 shipping. Also order predatory mites from the nature’s good guys website directly rather than from amazon.

You may have almost shot yourself in the foot a bit, actually....
The thing about using these together is that ladybugs and their larva will also eat the predatory mites.
Didn't seem to cause you any problems though.
Thanks for the info. Didn’t know that. But they are working for me right now. I am 10 days away from harvest. So I think I am fine there. But IMO the best solution for spider mites during flowering.

I live in a fairly arid climate, so while I don't LIKE to, I'm not shy about spraying.
No poisons, just soap, typically.
I don't have to worry about mold too hard, so it works for me.
