Hey Everybody, Just got a PH tester but forgot the calibration solution. Does anybody know of any common liquid that has a constant PH, that I can get without traveling a 100 miles or ordering by mail? Thanks, Mac
bottled water should be about 7.0. look it up in wikipedia...actually i just looked it up for you: PH - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
look at the section "measurement" and look at the chart on the right.
Thanks folks, I did check the wiki. I read where distilled water should have a standard ph but that it changes quickly and hardly ever registers 7.0. I also found where alcohol was 5.5 and that lemon juice was 2 or 2.4. When I used those, the lemon juice was close but the alcohol came up above 7. I just thought some of the old timers might have found a cheap substitute for the ph solution. Thanks again everybody! Mac
