See.. this is why I’ll end up running ffof again. I like that idea of repeat with very slight tweaks to maximize potential.
Subcools was just a recipe that looked relatively simple for a water only soil.

I ran ffof on my first grow with just water, and needed more nutrients the last few weeks.

This time I mixed it with HF 1:1 and EWC. but then I added all the other stuff. Thanks for kicking me back on track y’all, keeping it simple from here!
Maybe I’ll try 2:1 next and see how it goes!

pretty much any store purchased potting mix is fine for cannabis in my opinion as a base, as long as you dry out between waterings, , i just use whatever general potting mix the garden center has, cannabis often does need a cal mag supplement addition though in very early flower , other than that you can get away with just plain tap water, but i do supplement with potassium silicate, just for slightly larger yields and more pest resistant plants.
http://flairform.com/products/additives/cmx/ and http://flairform.com/products/additives/silikamajic/ are my 2 favorites for potting mix supplementation, and kelp/seaweed (Ascophyllum nodosum) is great for new transplants and veg, root growth. https://horticentre.co.nz/wp-content/uploads/Technical Sheets/Acadian - Technical sheet.pdf

Those are the 3 main supplement I recommend to anyone using soil or potting mix. but any general potting mix with a cal mag supplement used a week after flip to 12/12 should be fine all the way till harvest.

definitely not saying I hate it, and in all reality I’ll probably use it again on my next grow since it’s something I’m already a little familiar with. That said I’d like to try other mixes and see if they appeal to me more for one reason or another.

I'm lazy and don't like transplanting and messing with a shitload of soil. That's why I've been trying to learn the no-till system. I also don't want to have to keep spending money on soil. And FFOF is an excellent base I think. I used mine for a few runs without doing shit to it besides top dressing with some Craft Blend from BAS before I converted it fully.

My amended FFOF is almost 2 years old now.

I don't have this organic shit mastered by any means, but I'm trying. Here's a few pics. Not all pretty.

Veg tent. 2 Chems on the left and 4 Green Cracks on the right. Different stages of course.

6 week since flip clone only Chem 91. She's a picky bitch that I'm still figuring out. This is like my 3rd round of it, and I still haven't figured her out fully.

Awesome pics man.. gives me some more confidence for sure!
I finally picked up some real good seeds from Archive in Portland, which will give me a chance to grow the same strain for a few runs so I can figure it out :)
