Don't try to do too much man... Since you seem novice to growing, I always recommend that guys starting out go with a good pre-mixed soil (or coco) and some simple, well known fertilizer from fox farm for example. Then just follow directions. Sort of like learning with training wheels. As you get more experience and pick up knowledge, start worrying about organics or micro-nutrients and such... Also, I wouldn't keep my plants in anything smaller than a 3 gallon pot. If you only have a few plants, I wouldn't even worry about transplanting, just go straight in a 3 or 5gal from seed. Since becoming rootbound, and transplanting will cause unnecessary stress that'll slow your game down.
