Ok guys, I'm getting back in the swing of things, but I've hit a issue.

I run a aero/dwc hybrid setup with a 400w hps. 6 sites in the res, only using 5 of them atm. I've been flowering these bagseed for 2 weeks tomorrow. I have had a few pH issues in the res, but this pH issue I have today has me stumped. Checked this a.m. was at 5.6, checked tonight it's at 7.6. This is plain water pH to 5.4 when I added in after res change 2 days ago. What in the hell would cause it to climb that fast?

I got it back down to 5.6, going to check it in a bit and see if it comes back up.

Anyone that runs a hydro setup, have you had this happen?

What are your temps like? What are you feeding with? How often? How do the roots look/feel? Maybe check for possible light leaks.

Temps are good, humidity is a lil higher than I want, no fert in the res and no light leaks. Roots look great. Doing res flush every 2 weeks

What are you using for ph down? Could your plants be using it? Adjust a bucket of water and leave it out for awhile and see if the ph is stable. Maybe your meter just needs to be calibrated.

New meter on the way, old meter seems to be working fine, tap water(from a well) pH at 6.6 like it always has... maybe plants are using it

Yea I did last night, got my pH back to 5.6, within 2 hours it was back to 6.8, I was trying to run just water for 3 days to flush excess nutes from the roots, so when I went back out and seen the reading I added my nutes back (MG tomato) at 2g/gal. Seems to have stabilized it back at 5.6 after adjusting pH again. I've never seen pH climb that fast though, worries me lol.
