pH issue with seedlings

My buddy who I grow with only had the liquid solution to check pH and with the discoloration of the water it was hard to tell if it was in range. The plant stopped drinking and started to appear stagnant. So I ordered a pH pen and the solution was like 5.5 I flushed them with water (Ph 7.1) and checked the runoff water which surprisingly read out at 7.5. Thoughts??

You ruined that soil flushing it and adding all the junk you added. That’s a soil you should leave alone and not worry with ph.

My best results with seeds came from the paper towel method. Pop em in a wet paper towel in a baggie for a few days until the tails pop, then get yourself some light warrior seed starter from fox farm. Wet it down and plant her in. I’ve just been using filtered tap from the brita, I’ve found that works fine if you don’t have a tall boy. Put your dome over top and let em rock. Good luck this year!!
