ph level?

I just checked my 2 plants ph runoff for the first time ever, and the first was 7.2, second was 7.6
I know 7.0 is neutral, so what should my ph be?
I've searched a couple sites, and most say during flowering 5.9 - 6.2 is best, I'm not sure what to do?:dunce:

Thanx and Happy Growing!!:leaf:

i would, anything over 7 is no good...roots will not suck up nutes. 7.6 is way high 7.2 is still high

Depending on your growing style and method of checking pH, those numbers could be inaccurate and intervention on your part unnecessary.

How does the plant look? Does it look like there is an issue? In soil a pH anywhere between slightly above 6 to slightly above 7 is fine. Various processes go on in soil and in the rhizosphere that affect pH and allow plants to absorb nutrients.

If your tap water has high levels of carbonates dissolved in it you might want to consider using filtered, bottled or rain water.... scratch that if you're already using bottled water, then what are you adding to the water or what did you add to the soil?

i do soil., ph is not as critical in soil, for many of these have ph buffers, to help keep it in the zone. i like to get mine to about 6.4. with 6 to 6.5 all nutes are uptakeable. i love the soil i get. its cheap, and good! called "gardner&bloom" it has goodies in it. and i pay 8.99 for 2 cu ft. i add a hand full each of dolomite lime, and epsom salt to it. this will prevent ca, and mg deficientcy. although my flower nute, flora nova, has really got the different elements covered, in my book. micicle grow has been known to taste like heck. if u use it, use it only in veg. then give em a heck of a flush as you put em into flower..

You're not showing any signs of lock out so you should be fine.
Just make sure you PH your water from now on, and keep check on your run off PH. In soil i used to PH my water around 6.5 if the water was at 7 or close.

again. most potting soils are ph adjusting. this will keep any real "failures" from happening. in soil 6-6.5 is best. i adjust to 6.4 myself. 6.8 tops. when moving from veg to flower, FLUSH.

unless your water is terrible, i would not waste my time and cash on bottled water. it adds up. i leave my water in open five gallon buckets, overnight. this removes the clorine end. i have a canna ph and ppm meters. my water is preety good here. it only reads as 140-150 ppm. and is about 7.0 out of the tap. i think many put too much energy into their lil charges. they are weeds, after all.

my water tests ppm 140-150. unless your water is messed up, or very hard, just let it sit out 24 hrs to get rid of the clorine. bottled water is spendy.
