What's up RIU! Have an issue here. Plants started showing signs of a pH lock out maybe? Need to confirm thanks!

They're in fox farm ocean fresh for about 3 weeks. After adding dyna gro protek by itself I started noticing these lock outs? I thought it was the protek that might of raised the pH too much in the soil..but after I checked pH run off last night it was at 6.0 (Maybe lil bit lower).

1st two pics is from one plant and the last two pics is from another. The last two Pics the plant looks to have a calmag issue.. Leaves were turning yellow and green leaves started spotting. My grow environment is dialed and good. I believe it might be the protek which raised my pH but then again the run off was 6.0 help please!

Oh yeah both plants are on the same schedule. 1st plant is bubblelcious and 2nd is snow white from nirvana. Cheers.

i think she is hungry. protek is a potassium silicate product. Doesn't have much nutrients in it. try hitting them with a light solution of grow/ bloom depending on what stage of growth you are in.

FFOF and no perlite...? fine example of more study required
...time for a flush no food until you see an improvement,
flush with 3 times the volume of the pot allow to drain/recover overnite

looks like you nute burned them....or its the FF..you should look at the other thread on here. https://www.rollitup.org/t/ive-looked-everywhere-and-i-cant-make-a-decision.842228/#post-10822065 Almost exact same thing you have..I think the FF doesnt need any nutes w/ it from what Ive seen. At least not in the early stages of veg...
Thanks for the link Uni! They definitely look similar! Sorry for late response I thought nobody could help me and haven't signed on.

Anyways I found some of the problem though. It was roots coming out of the bottom holes!! Almost a whole root ball in the drip tray! After I found them the roots were dried and brown. I pruned them. And raised the pot off the tray now. It did get worse than the pictures shown b4 and worse than the picture now ( because of foliar feed, too strong of a solution). Is a flush still necessary?

I believe it stunted the stretch, it didn't get very tall. Hopefully it has enough leaves to the end of flower and this burn looking thing stop spreading.

Pics of the entire plant would help. But looks like they are getting hungry too me. I would add Dyna Grow Foliage Pro, about 1/2 tsp per gallon to start and go from there. And back off the Protek, a little goes a long ways in soil.

You would get more answers if you showed pic of whole plant. How old is the plant?
I'll get a picture tonight. It looks horrible lol. But this is the only pic of it as a whole plant. This was at 2-3 weeks into flower. It's super tiny compared to other plants I've grown. It's the smaller plant in the middle.. The one further to the right of it is also effected. If I took a picture today, it will show the upper leaves of most of the branches are yellowing with spots.. exactly like the leaf pics I posted

I use dyna gro grow. And using it all the way through. I am feeding them 4ml per gal right now. After I add protek, grow, little bit of cal/mag and floralicious plus in RO water and my ppm meter says about 600ppm. Is this low for flowering? I'm hearing people going up to 1000. Do I just add more nutes to get it that high? But isn't that gonna burn the plant since it's potent stuff? Confused.

I usually add perlite but ran out. I'll flush anyways maybe there's a bunch of nutes it didn't get a chance to use is still there. Roots came out of the pot and into the drip tray and started forming.

Ur plant will live!!! ...but will be pissed at you ....see plants as sentient beings, like pet snake or fish ..cat or dog, they REACT so make up later, with quality sun and water(fiji water)

Based on the photos, which admittedly are barely helpful:
There's no way it's N burn, and I'm surprised so many are labeling it as such. Before a plant gets to the point of a Nitrogen OD, the leaves will notably darken, become glossy in appearance and the tips will usually curl. Also, you would see the burn on the serrated portion of the leaf blade. Not to mention FFOF wouldn't burn a plant capable of producing those fans..
It's almost assuredly locked out and/or deficient. Runoff isn't an extremely accurate representation of what's going on at the root ball btw.
And why, Oh Why, are you foliar feeding?

Okay so would you agree that I should flush immediately? I'll get better photos here in a few hours. I was foliar feeding because I couldn't figure out the lockout or Def. And felt like it needed a foliar feed because it kept going yellow and rust spots. But foilar feeding did some severe damage to it. D:

One can foiage feed for 1 week total 3 x's - this help-lock-out besides nutrients may be just use water in morning and spray the "under-sides" of the leaves

Here are photos. The 1st few is white castle. The last few is bubblelicious. And I just flushed them out of randomness already.

Foliar feeding is utterly pointless in my opinion and can be detrimental. The plants do just fine up taking all that they need from the roots. I'm not claiming to be the most righteous grower on the planet, but I don't remember the last time I had a deficiency in soil or DWC, and my ladies are always stoked. Stop foliar feeding. Use hard water tap or add cal mag to your RO. If you're adding cal mag, use a Salifert kit( the best) to test your levels to ensure you're not overdoing it.
