ph meters

i got for like 14 dollers a evolved harvest ph meter the one that measures light water soil ph with prongs

will it be better then the strips lol sorry got button happy .

they dont work for shit and if thats all you have to depend on it can fuck up your grow (use the strips). get yourself a decent ph meter and test the water after you add the nutes then you cant go wrong.
every cloud has a silver lining though, they make great doorstops!

Those lil 2 prong soil ph meters are shit. They are a waist of money and i would not be supprised to hear that your grow fails. Cause i think the PH is absolutly one of the most important things. Dont wanna sound dickish but quit being cheep get a digital ph tester cheap like 40$ at a hydro store. And yes the strips work and also the drops test.Good luck take the advise.

ph meter is one of the items you DONT want to go cheap on. get a nice one, you will thank us in a couple months

yeah it gave different readings. so now i got to come up with a good reason why i need a better one. the wife dont smoke bud thinks im wasteing money on them. there growing just fine she says. 40 dollers r u serius. how to tell your wife theres a thing called ph u dont understand lol. that will go over swell lmao. if i dont post in a day or so it didnt go over well and im dead lol thanks guys

ph is important but if you got the feel for things its not completely necessary. i went through my first few grows with no meter at all and everything turned out fine, you just have to catch shit early if anything does happen. next time your wife wants some pointless shit that she doesnt need, point out to her how pointless stupid and expensive it is

lmao i should do that . i have tested my soil three times useing strips its been staying normal even with my weekly fertilizer they look pretty good for hempys i havent went and got seeds off here yet been lerry of that whole buying seeds thing off the net lol any insights on this is welcome

I went cheap on a ph meter and i thought it nearly cost me. I have thread right now int the plant problems section. However a poster has said the ph of soil will not change from the solution. The solution will change to the ph of the soil. Changing the ph of the soil takes too long for most grows. The only place in gardening that talks so much about ph is cannabis threads. Just an fyi. I just plunked 70 for a new ph meter but i am going to try a dwc next grow too.

i got a digital pH meter...i've come to the conclusion it sucks balls. i also have a general hydroponics pH test kit with pH up/down bottles. that one, while less precise, gives a better reading. no more digital crap for me
