Thanks guys today the stressed ones seemed somewhat better these were just uppotted 2/3 weeks ago so with the knats still around I've just been trying not to soak them too much but keep the soil moist but not soaked. but when due I will try the saucer for sure!! If I don't give in and get blumats I've been eyeing




Its not sea water its sea crop sorry . it says 1x month same with e.m. I used the aloe 2x and kelp 2x.
That's pretty close 3 weeks watered 6-7 times since upping pots. I think they will be ok except the dosido she's soaked to the max and I don't expect much from her.

If you have access to neem cake/neem meal (same thing), pick some up. You can bubble it for 18hrs as a soil drench for the gnats, or you can just topdress a light dusting of it, and mulch over that with straw, and they will go away after a few uses

I’m sorry to hear man, hope 2019 is much easier for you! I’m doing well as is the garden. I also had to shut it down this summer due to the excessive heat wave. It’s crankin now though! Working with some GPS gear plus all the usual suspects. About to finish my undergrad in May. So pumped about that

That's cool. Thought about going back to get my bachelor's. I have an associates in electronics.

I'm setting up a new grow and have a new light coming to test out.

Yeah this undergrad program has givin me a good foundation of knowledge to draw my own conclusions from... but it was lacking in application and experiences unfortunately. Thankfully, I have lots of experience with plants and soils and fungi to draw from. I’ve been doing some gourmet mushroom growing lately as well.

Shoot me a message and link on my grow thread when you get your grow going again, if you’ll be documenting it that is.

And more education is always a good thing!

Stretch is on ... almost forgot how they crave the yellow (hps) . They all got a pack of beneficial nematodes yesterday .

C'mon flowers ....

The gnats aren't too bad, I see 1 or 2 every time I water , but if I don't stay on top of it I know they can get out of control in no time. Here's a hps shot I'll get a proper one towards weekend

So the guys that run no till the gnats aren't too bad? I figure the mulch and cover crop must help .

they do and they dont. casual top dressings of neem cake under the mulch at the surface really help, and it doesn't take a lot! whenever i have them in my worm bin that's what I do and it pretty much takes care of them. there are also beneficial soil bugs that help keep gnat larvae populations under control.

Yes gnats have been a battle since I dried my outdoor indoors. always a few in there tried poppers gnat knix seems I always see 1 when watering. these bounced right back with filtered water tho 20190119_012301.jpg

I went threw it Real good and I noticed 2 things 1 plants seems to have less silica if u know what I mean weaker perhaps more flexible. And I still have knats here and there I upped the sticky strips added a rootzone fan I'm tapped atm so that will have to do . site was a bitch yesterday for uploading so I'll try again20190131_gorillcook.jpg
