Ph problem?

Hello posted this in another section but did not get any responses. I’m running a waterfall rdwc 15 gallon. I’m using cutting edge nutrients and following the recommended feed chart at 75%. Ph is at 5.7 water temp 68 F ppm at 1080. The lower leaves started browning at the tips and were light green about a week ago. I thought that it was low on nutrients so I bumped up the nutrients from 50% to 75% and it is getting worse. Not sure if I should flush and start with 25% recommended nutrients or go higher. Any help is much appreciated. My Ph dropped to 5.4 a couple days ago but I raised it back up to 5.7.

1080 PPM is probably a little high, if your PH has remained within what you said, its not likely a PH related issue.

for a young plant 500-600 PPM is plenty, over 1000 should be for adult plants in flower in my experience.

I’m with @THT and think ec is a bit much.

If your ph is dropping like that I would be wondering about my roots.

Crack the lid , any smell . They look very white. No browning anywhere?

Ph only dropped once and it happened the day before I had to recalibrate my ph ec meter. Roots are white no funky smells. Do you guys recommend flushing out the whole reservoir or can I empty half and add water to cut down the ppm.

I would be more inclined to do just that, a cut in half , then check ec , if close to half rebalance the ph and record the ec or the ppm and then tomorrow check it again and see were ec and ph are.

Then adjust accordingly

best senario , ph stays same and ec drops .01 or 5 -10 ppm

if ec goes down .05 or 50 ppm I would then increase my ec or ppm by 100. Then do it all over again.

Not sure what kind of water is being used .

so with mine as eg. I use ro water which is 15-18 ppm .

I would add calmag to a 180ppm then I would add my 2 part fertilizer to the 500 or any level.

Hope this helps. Enjoy the grow.
