PH Problems

I have been having problems with my plants and found my meter was bad, so I started using the color ph test kit and my plants got better.

I bought a new meter, now I know my ph was 6.5 or so when the color was pretty yellow and m plants got better. Now I used the new ph meter to ph to 6.0 (Hanna combo meter) and the problem started to return, so I raised it to 6.4 and again they get better. They are bubblegum and super skunk, with one death star and a c99. at PH 5.8-6.0 what I thought was ideal, they get hook leaves and yellowing as if the ph is to low to allow nitrogen n stuff that asborbs at higher ph.

So am I just wrong and PH should be higher like that orrrr? If u use a PH meter what u keep ur readings @?

I have
600w hps
3x3 ebb n flow
Rockwool
GH floranova grow @ 500 PPM
24 about 8-10 inch tall plants

Thanks ahead of time!

5.8-6.8 is supposed to be the correct Ph for hydroponics and 6.5-6 in soil so you should be good on the Ph. Have you flushed the system ? or maybe the E.C is too high although 500 ppm sounds low if anything. hmmm tricky situation hope it works out.

Theres no problem anymore at the higher PH, just im wondering why I always thought ph should b 5.8-6.0 ideally in hydro, so why do my plants not grow ok @ 5.8-6.0 and grow great @ 6.4-6.7...

Very true for example most GHS strains are suited for 1.5 and can go up to 1.8 E.C ! If you order your seeds check what the breeder recommends.
