Ph soil grower need help.

So im mostly a hydro grower but i decided to do my next grow alittle different with alittle different set up im using soil atm mg organic gardening soil and some other pertlite mix ttuff they ran outta the mg organic mg potting soil but i need to know why do people use nutes i though the soil took care of that?

some soil comes with time release fertilizer but the lvl's are only high enough for veg you still need to add nutes for flower.in soil i ph the water to 6.5 and never worry about the soils ph it should always be good.but you can add lime and other stuff to help buffer it if you think you need to.

If you go with soil, I recommend using a soil less mix man. Lets you control everything that your baby gets.

25% Perlite
25% Vermiculite
45% Sphagnum Peat Moss
5% Earth Worm Casings

Hasnt done me wrong yet =)

You can use pretty much any of the hydro nutes, ANN FFN botanicare, dynagrow...whater you and your budget fancy.

You will definitely need to supplement your plants with nutrients the soil will prob become depleted in a few weeks at most. I start adding nutrients after the second watering.

Thats some great, simple advice. If you know what the pH of your starting medium (soil) is, and you know the pH of anything you add to it, then you'll know within a little what the pH of your grow is. Avoids the need for pH meters and the like, just some simple litmus paper would suffice.
