PH Test strips are absolute trash

it may be right at that or below that, and that's why it's indicating it's so low. People have been using them for years. they work, but they're not the best

distilled should be between 5 and 7. More than likely right around 7

If you want to check the accuracy of your strips use some PH buffer solution and then you can be sure
