PH while stirring different then standing?

Question? Do you guys check the pH while stirring the water or do you let the water sit and then check the pH.

I noticed while the pH pen just sits there that the pH will set at around 6.8 but as I stir it the pH drops to as low as 5.9 should I be testing my pH while the water is mixing and bubbling with the bubblers or when it's standing still. Thanks.

If I swish my Meter in a solo cup the ph changes from a higher to lower number too. I really don't think it's a issue, if it is that would be news to me. I am curious if someone thinks other ?

But I have had no issues with mine doing that, but I PH my Runoff after words and that is what I go by when adjusting my PH to a higher or lower number it's always was fairly the same and never hurt anything.

Check. Standing still.

Aeration may cause PH to rise over time.
Airpumps can suck in excessive Co2 and contam the water.
