Phillip Morris, the world’s biggest cigarette producer, announced today that they will join the marijuana legalization bandwagon and start producing marijuana cigarettes. To be marketed under the brand “Marlboro M”, it will be made available for sale through marijuana-licensed outlets in the state of Colorado, and Washington when it becomes commercially legal later this year.


Serafin Norcik, Phillip Morris’ Sr. Vice President for Marketing said in an interview that the company has been high on the idea of marketing cannabis, and has been monitoring the market for some time. It was only when the recent legalization initiatives — winning in Colorado and Washington — that they finally made the decision to take a leap of faith.


Norcik added that they have begun contacting former drug lords in Mexico and Paraguay, currently the largest marijuana-producing countries in the world, for the possibility of setting up a distribution ring across the North and South American continents, to streamline the supply lines.

ive heard about Marlboro having the rights to sell mj in their packs once it becomes legal about 15+ years ago. they have been waiting to corner the mj market since then. only to ruin the good nature of what mj does, only to fatten up the wallets of phillip morris and co. more big company bs getting rich off the people.

Wow all this is huge for us all. having a giant in congress/senate you know they donate tons of money to them. this will push more states into legal medical usage and then legal for all to use. Can you smell it? Its the smell of freedom coming.

LOL not sarcasm. I dont care how it happens as long as weed becomes legal to use over 21. Man all the jails and prisons will empty out fast. save billions each month for taxpayers in the usa. oh on another topic my c99 seed took 36 hrs to crach and show its thingy its now in riot root moisture dome at 88 degrees F. that lady is FEM and will be my mother plant for that strain.

The stock of a multinational corporation isn't going to pop up tenfold overnight due to an announcement. My guess is fake.

Most people that are in jail and had their lives ruined over cannabis are not just because they were caught with a joint in their pocket. Big corporations being able to sell shit quality weed legally isn't going to do shit for the real caregivers....
