Photoperiod interrupted darkness - Tent left open for 10 hours of dark cycle day 46 of flowering.

Hi all.

As you can see from the title, I made the mistake of leaving my tent open all night in a room with bright lights. There were 4 t5 flourescent lights vegging other plants in the room just outside the tent, so they definitely noticed this photoperiod disruption.

The good news is that the flowers in the tent are in day 46, and are definitely looking pretty plump.

What are your guys' thoughts and opinions on what to do next? Maybe I should continue to watch the plants for signs of hemaphrodite and continue to flower through to the end of the natural cycle?? Maybe I should start harvesting the plants now before they have a chance to grow testicles?

The trichs are pretty clear at this point. Would an early harvest change the flavor profile?

I would ignore the incident but check the nodes for balls and the buds for bananas.

I was doing maintenance in my flower room last night and found one large plant with a few nanners...The only one out of several of the same strain...Pretty sure it's from heat and light stress, as they were under 1000 watt HPS bulbs. I'm also at 8 weeks and also debating what to do, but in my case, I think it's the chopping block.

Yes chopping early will effect flavor and potency.

So no nanners i can find just yet, but i did find seeds starting in every other bud. Also, found sacs, i think.

Should i just chop and dry now?

That's up to you....It does look like you have seeds but squeeze one out and be sure that's what it is. Some people use tweezers and carefully remove the "nanners", but in your case the damage might already be done...You might want to let them mature another week or two...It will still be smokable.

Yea I agree! Also, with some further research, it looks like the photo I attached that I thought was a male flower is actually in fact a female flower, as there is a pistil coming right out of the tip. The seed production points to a nanner happening at some point, as my seeds are feminised. I think I'll move forward with the intention of flowering out the last 2 weeks, but checking for nanners. If there are nanners, then I will chop early.
