Pick my odor control choice, the finalists are:

OK, quick background. Got a small stealth box using, yes, those wonderful silent computer fans. Only growing a plant or 2 at a time.

The finalists are:

1) Make a small scrubber and attach it directly to the exhaust fan, trying not to worry about having enuf power do run it.

2) Somehow attach via piping of some sort another inline fan and scrubber to the small exhaust fan, pumping up the juice. (probably the priciest option BY FAR....)

3) Just cover exhaust with a scented filter and use a few ona odor sucking cartons laying around.

4) Do 3 and use a few vaportek nuetral scent disks in the works as well, including one in the cab.

Grow will be in a crawlspace below the house, I don't mind a good smelling house (within reason) but don't want a MJ reeking one. Also reeking too badly of scents is not a good thing either.....

SO, PICK A WINNER!!!!

Or give me a better thought......

Well if you keep all the "air" limited to the crawl space area, would an ozone generator work for you? Cheap one is 120$ that does 5500 sq ft. Just treat the exhaust with the ozone... just my 2 cents

CD- interesting thought, please expand I will do that same.

I live in an elevated house, the crawlspace is about 4 ft tall AT MOST, but it is actually above ground level.

The foundation has a concrete wall with a vent on each side of the house (for flooding purposes).

It's kind of ideal though, since I have ALL THE WALLS on the inside of the foundation insulated and have big insolation plugs in the vent holes as well.

Not your typical "crawl space" I know. More like a complete concrete enclosure under the house.

I am more concerned with the people "upstairs" more than anything I think!!!

So yeah, I guess I could just treat the area with ozone I guess????? There will be a LITTLE leakage MAYBE outside through those vents but the most will come up through the floor "via the door" into the upstairs.

Again, a bit of background, so NOW what do you suggest?????

Thanks man, you are really helping here!!!! And, the only one......... which is why i appreciate it even more!!!!! Thanks again man.....

4' tall?? Kinda limited..would go with a shorter indica strain...personally i wouldnt add anything except a scrubber for my intake(making sure i have clean air) i dont know ur situation but i never have anyone over so smell isnt a concern. 1 or 2 plants wont stink to high hell if u go with a more neutral smelling strain ie. NL. What id be concerned about is flooding...those vents u say are for flooding are there for a reason, although i think they are there more just to vent air...if anything a small scrubber attached to ur pc fan should work in a such a small grow. No need to spend 120 on an ozone gen. If u dont have too. Ur using cfls or floros im assuming? Cause any hps or mh would take up atleast 12" of ur vertical space...limiting u on how tall you can let ur plants grow...imo.

Good point lamb. Uni, if you get a neutral smelling indica strain, you'd prolly be ok with no control. However, to elaborate on what i was saying, if you make sure you have fresh air coming into you tent you be okay letting that air vent out of it, then maybe a second small fan on the vent on the other side of your special crawlspace to vent out the ozone treated air. Whatever you choose, it is very important that the ozone does not get to your ladies. However, lamb does has a good point that as long as your not growing a smelly strain, a small scrubber would work just fine.

Guys, first of all THANKS!!!

My house won't flood. Short story, I DO live in a flood plain but this crawlspace would only flood about every 20 years, and I will know when it's coming. I just built it because it was paid for hahahaha. In the rare case that happens, I ditch it all........

I know 4 ft is kinda limited, which is why I am doing the grow box INSIDE that space.

I do like that u said i CAN attach a small personal scrubber to the exhaust!!! Maybe do that with some other odor control and just watch the temps?????

One thing, the ONLY fresh air i have coming down there is that i do have have an exhaust running out of my heat/ac unit that brings air to the space.

It's sort of the perfect space while sucking all at the same time!! :-)

I do know obviously to go with the less smelly strains first and foremost!

So it sounds like go ahead and attach a cheap manmade scrubber to the exhaust, then add some other odor neutralizers around the box???

yes that should work just fine. I wanna touch one 1 point though...air coming from an AC is NOT fresh. Only recycled. Remember this..cause i didnt know this for quite along time. Therfor...just make another scrubber and attach it to your intake..it should help. Hell ive had QP's per plant and ran no fresh air into the room only an ac window unit. And i totally unerdtand the flood plain...i live on one too. But my basement definatly floods therfor growing down there is out of the question..so i deal with high temps in my attic. It being a crawl space...and insulated well, heat shouldnt b a problem.

Lamb and CD, THE MEN!!!!

Honestly, thanks so much as I get this thing going. I only want personal and I want stealth, and am old and enuf and smart enuf to get it! Don't have TONS of $ but will pay for what I NEED!

Lamb: Are you saying to attach small scrubbers to both fans on the box?????

Yep, it is a COOL concrete crawlspace under the house, and I live in the northern midwest (US). With all the lights I run about 80 degrees in NORMAL temps....perfect! The only problem would be if I tried to grow in the heart of the midwest winter. Should be fine even in the HEAT of summer.

BTW, my basement will NOT flood!!! If it ever did, I would have TONS of time to ditch the entire evidence anyways...

Sounds like he's saying to add that extra scrubber to the intake, yeah. My question though is the exhaust from your ac/furnace the actual exhaust that runs when the furnace is on, or is it just a duct that empties out down into your crawlspace....
