Pick one, daily update grow.

I have five months left on my lease and figured i might do a quick one plant grow... i'm settin this up, all beans are feminized. pick which one you'd like to see. in a week i will start.

white label, white widows going to be the strongest. il wait a while before i vote this one.

R U doing one plant? I know this is off topic but do you have any experience with feminized seeds?

yep just one, i'll prolly scrog it, if lr2 wins i'll do more than one.

all of these seeds are feminized.... i'm hopin either blue cheese or nl x skunk.

Hey doc. First of all I voted NL X Skunk. Second, I was looking at some of your LR2 pics and man you got your shit together. I'm growing some right now (my first grow), I got 2 in soil and 4 in a DWC. I'm having a little trouble with the ones in the bubbler so I wanted to ask you have tried this method with LR2? Also I saw on a couple of your pics that you had them numbered by day, do you keep detailed journal and if so have you noticed a specific day or a small window of when the males pollen sacks open? I'd like to figure it out a little ahead of time so my fan doesn't blow it everywhere, and I'd also like to save some of it. My last question is, have you ever cross-bred any of your strains? Sorry this is so long, but you seem like a pretty knowledgeable guy and I'd like to hear your opinions. Thanks.

i actualy started one of these girls yesterday.... i also have 16 lr2 startin' to if blue cheese wins i can keep you updated on the nl x skunk.

there are a few pics of a lr2 done in an aero bucket in my gallery... i think that growing in dirt is much better, but i have more experience with dirt. when growin lr2 hydro... be careful with nutes, they don't need alot. they take a lil longer to fill out too. the main difference i noticed it that the buds in dirt were way dense compared to the hydro, but the hydro was definatly more "sticky".


i usualy save pollen from one male every grow just in case, when sex shows i remove the first sacks that show up, after that you got about 5-7 days before more sacks grow out and are ready to drop, but you should check twice a day just to be sure, you gotta kinda wing these things.
i pluck them off before they open, they will turn lime green/yellow. and will be kinda soft (there firm when not ready). i hold them at the base over a jar and rub a tooth pick back and forth where the sack opens... leave the jar open in a dark place to let out any moister before storing... i pluck some every day till i think i have enough.

i did some xing with a friend... it will take about a year to get %100 autos.

lr2 x cheese x lr2...... stil in the works, i'm inbreeding more this summer.
lr2 x new purple power x lr2.... waste of time.

i'm thinking of xing with crystal skunk which is a haze x.... this should be some CHRONIC if i don't give up, being a haze it will take longer to flower.

i'll also pollinate at least one bud on blue cheese and n.l. x skunk

Thanks a lot for the info doc. I hope you didn't mind me asking so many questions. I have one more question, when you grew the LR2 in hydro when did you start adding nutes, and at what percent(25,50)? Also did you go straight to bloom nutes?

i gave veg nutes once in week two at 25%

started flower nutes when sex showed, 25% to week five, %50 for week six, %75 week seven %100 weeks eight and nine, then i flushed, changing water every morning for six days.

your girls are SICK! what did you do to them???

Well that was my problem, nutes from the start. 50% Luckily only 1 out of 4 in the hydro was a female, so I learned my lesson with less consequence than if they were all female. The one female in the hydro is not doing too well either, but hopefully she'll get better. The 2 girls in the soil are ok though, so at least my first grow isn't a complete failure. I think next time I'll stick with soil. Do you think I can raise my lights a little to stretch them out a little, or do you think that's a bad idea?

i think thats a bad idea, they will still get bigger while flowering.... your hydro girl, go to the store and get some spring water add add adout a half of a teaspoon of epsom salt and a teaspoon of molasses per gallon, test the ph, between 5.3 and 6.3 should be good. keep her on this and if no improvement in a week let me know.

haha white widow got one vote... it's been a week so votes don't count, blue cheese it is, i'll post a seperate journal for the lr2's i got going, they have been out of the ground for two days, there are 15 of em. i started a nl x skunk the other day to so she will be a side note in the blue cheese grow.

this forum should be closed, but i can't do that unless i pay...... i'll still answer questions here but the journals will be new.
