Ok this is the plant that has me wondering if its just the type that makes it look kind of weird looking as compared to the other plants This one is the White
Widow is it supposed to look scraggly , ok well to me it looks scraggly, smaller leaves, etc, its the same age as the other plants three shots of the same plant..

They look a little thirsty to me. If they have balls in veg you have a male plant. From my experience people think they have hermies way to much. Ive never had a hermie except the occasional balls but that happens.

yes chip the soil clones were they drink water so darn fast I had watered them right after taking pics, i water them two three times a day until I can get my new hydro buckets ready for them...from what I understand after having read everything on hermies is you cant tell till flowering stage which im not in so cant tell, thank you for your input have a great day...

hey chip by the way nice to meet you...I water from the bottom only a bit at a time, I lift the pot to see if they need more you know good old weight change if they are dry, I probably over stated 3 times a day sorry, my finger hit the wrong number, I go in the morning and check if the plate under the plant is empty, I put my finger in the soil or lift the pot to see if its heavy, or look at the plants to see if they are drooping and sad lol...then I put a cup or two of water at the bottom in the dish not on the plant, oh and I play music for them I think I saw them dancing lol....thankyou for the link I went and read up in several different places its not over watering, probably under lol...I also forgot to turn the light off after foilage spraying so they wouldnt burn, thank goodness I had the light high enough it didnt like do bad damage...plus the blue spectrum light doesnt seem to cook them as bad as the red spectrum does...I will have to research that too and see what I find...its a good thing I love research...there is tons to read on this type of growing...

ok will do chip, thats kind of the way I am looking at it not a chore but a fun hobby, I so love to sit in my tent and talk to my plants, and it smells soooo good in there it like super calm time, what ya'll think about reverse osmosis for the water? I was reading and someone mentioned it would be good to have one, they do have some fairly good prices, and its supposed to help with having a bigger yield...any thoughts on that?.....

reverse osmosis is necessary for most people because their waters ppms are too high and cause nutrient lockout and buildup in the medium and soil that interfere with nutrient absorption.Tap water can cause issues with deficiencies or wierd ph fluctuations and issues. This is not even taking into account chlorine and cloramine in tap water which mess with the plant and bacteria which feed the soil. This all leads to an increase in yields and decrease in need to flush as much and saves with headaches. Remember that ro units can be cheap but the water to waste ratio on some can be high. This cost is negligible to me as I always use RO water.Just remeber that with RO water you will most likely have to add calmag to it.

ok I will remember that, do you have a suggestion as to which reverse osmosis machine I should get, price wont be a problem not cause im rich or anything but I do save my money up, so I have it for playing with, I have also learned that you go with the best the first time then you dont have headaches later due to a cheap product....but then again there are cheaper products that are better than expensive ones too...lol...ok there I go again thinking too much... have you tried the super cropping? and what is your opinion on that?

I have a commercial reverse osmosis machine that is available from a local seller. I would tell you their name but I would give away my location and I cannot do that, hope you understand. As far as recommending a reverse osmosis unit look at the gpd and size it to what you have. Always size up because you dont want to count on it and it not be able to deliver. One of my buddies has a growonix. It has a low waste ratio and can be flushed which adds to membrane life. It also can have a pump added to increase gpd. I dont have it so I cannot recommend it although.

I have done super cropping when I used to grow bigger plants. I now run large SOG grows that dont need super cropping. I will occasionally supercrop a mom but Ive been starting to bonsai my moms. Super cropping helps strengthen stems and keep height and stretch in check. I have limited experience with it but can recommend kyle kushmans super cropping video on youtube because that guy is the kind of it. Dont be afraid to bend those stems just be sure to not break them. I watched alot of videos of how they pinched it before I did it. I had a sativa that was stretching madly so I super cropped it and it slowed it down quite a bit. It also kept it from needing as much staking in the end.

What nutes you running?
How are those Waterfarms? They look like theyd be nice for clones since they top water.

I was using X nutrients and changed to advanced , The waterfarms are ok, I had problems at first with water dripping over the sides of the buckets but it was cause I had the rings too high, I finally got smart and lowered them...I thought about changing to aeroponics but really didnt like what I read about them even though they its also a good system to use, I wouldnt mind using aero for the clone babies when rooting them but think I will stick to what I have as I am finally used to the waterfarm.
Itztime....I have my babies in a grow tent, and the grow tent is in the only room of my home that was big enough for it, (My Kitchen), my home was built in 1910 so the kitchen is huge, what is really neat is they have hot and cold spigots in the kitchen so it makes it easy for me to refill my water without killing myself carrying buckets...lol...also there is a window right behind the grow tent to put the fan in on hot days, they seem to like it in there. even in the grow tent when they were in my living room they didnt like it very well...so I have learned one thing enviroment means more than just a grow tent/room, nutes, and watering. I thought my grandmother was nuts when she talked to her gardens, now I know she wasnt, either that or ive gone nuts myself rofl...

this is what mine looks like will supposedly hold up to 12 plants my opinion yeah if they are small, 4 if big, 2 if huge lol...my first two plants were huge and well at the time I didnt know I was supposted to prune or lollipop, or top even lol... This is kind of what mine looks like, not the same one as mine has two doors on it, I dont remember the exact size of it sorry... window shop if you decide to save up for one you can get them for a good price....

How much did you spend for yours?
I just feel like this is so much of a hassle to have one of these, expensive and it reccomended you buy more parts with it, jeez im just going to try being a closet grower lol

Hey itztime:...if your comfortable and like your closet then enjoy and have fun, yes it gets expensive, but I am buying the extras, because I am growing all of my allowed to have 15 plants...I have pets, and they tend to like my plants just a bit too much, I got started liked it and decided to make it a hobby, not only give me something to do but something I am enjoying, I am only doing the medical mJ...and will donate most of my harvest to a collective garden for other patients like me who is in constant pain...to do this I needed a sterile enviroment, and proper equipment...Its my belief that you do what is comfortable for you...I paid a hundred something for my grow tent...4 or 5 something for the hydroponic system...and tons on a very good fertilizer,,.. advantage though X is pretty good too... yes you need your fans, lights, fertilizers, temp gauge, ph testers oh dear probably a lot more, but I dont have a lot of money myself so I save every dime, and watch for sales and there are ppl who get out of it or change systems who sell their stuff a bit cheaper ...nothing wrong with being a closet grower as long as you are enjoying it and have fun doing it that way...right...

Yeah dude i tottally feel the doing it for the passion, and may you be blssed you kind person lol donating most of it jeez you are going to have well over three pounds but hey its your weed, good growing to you sir thanks for the prices on theequipment, i was lookin at a rough estimate. Do you think 300 is enough for a noobie who is only going to be growing a few plants? Oh yeah +rep my friend

Hey itztime...LOL..Im a MOM not a Sir..rofl...I am sorry I dont have a rough estimate, too hard to figure out without knowing exactly what it is you want to accomplish..what I did was got my pen and paper out and googled everything I could read on growing, different enviroments, soil or hydro or aero ponics...nutrients, tents, lights, fans, etc...and wrote a list then started priceing,...I still need to get a few things...lol...Then I started talking to everyone and anyone listened to what they said about how they did things, then made my decision on the best way to do things... I have been told that soil is more forgiving than hydro...its an opinion, and it may be...guess I will see as I am doing both...
Ok now you wanted to know is 300 a good start...for your closet?... or are you trying to get a tent?...do you have room how many plants are you going to try to grow?...if your looking for just personal smoke or sharing with a collective?...
Hey is anyone else here that is an old timer that knows this stuff better than I do...we could both use some input here... I am enjoying the converse though...between us we may learn something right?...
maybe someone will post that can give us some insight and answer some of your questions.... oh one thing in my opinion that is very very important...get a microscope check your plants often for things you cant see with your eyes...

Many things in a medical marijuana garden can go unnoticed by the naked eye. Pathogenic diseases and insects are much easier to see and identify under magnification. A good microscope can also help a medical marijuana grower identify the appropriate time to harvest based on the color of the trichromes.
[h=3]Trichome Differences You Can't See With The Naked Eye[/h]When getting near the final weeks of blooming medical marijuana’s trichromes will turn from clear to a milky haze color, signifying a higher concentration of THC. Harvesting plants with milky haze colored trichromes will result in medicine that gives a more uppity, energetic, cerebral effect.
Allowing a plant to develop further will result in amber colored trichromes. Harvesting plants with amber colored trichromes will result in a more narcotic, lethargic, “body high” effect. It is also possible to harvest between stages at a point in which trichomes are half milky haze and half amber colored.
Many growers consider this to be the ultimate time for harvest but it really depends on the individual patient and his or her desired effect from their medication. In order to consistently gauge proper harvest time medical marijuana growers must invest in a decent microscope.
Well I am off for the night I hope if not will see you later hopefully I get to sleep this time...oh fun and joy...good night my friends...see you later....
