and jus ahve a fan blowing on the plants keepin it cool if u can put ur hand under it and u dont feel the heat nor will they

or start it under 18/6 MH at 24 inches then give it 3 days to get used to it then lower 4 inches for 3 days etc till its closer to her, she'll start boosting liek mad, i bet she has shit loads of root and not enuff light to use it all

being a newbie and here for help...I will do that.....I know that when I first went to MH I put it 9" away at first, because I could barely feel it on my hand...and I burnewd them to shit....then went to 24" per the growfaq....and the leaves still crinkled...so I went to 29"...and have been lowering it daily since and am at 19" now. 400w MH bulb with cheap aluminum reflector from Advanced. But..they were new to this light...so I will go down to say, 12" and check her in an hour or two and see how her feels.....I am up all night anyway....finally have some good weed....I love pain clinic days!!!

pain clinics?

My pain clinic office gal has a hook up for good weed...on occassion....long story...but I got an ounce of the dank today....and have not had weed this good since halloween. Anyway reefa, props for all your help...I lowered lights to 12" and am switching to 18/6 light cycle. Probably gonna herm the bitch but it is a research project at best. I may seem that I play with them alot....but all my monitoring equipment is external...so I check them without actually seeing the plant alot, but really only go in on them mayber 4 times a day.....I have other stuff going most of the time...jsut so happens I am on lay in for 2 weeks, so been really observing....just reading the numbers throughout the day since I am off work for 2 weeks....thought I could really monitor the conditions inside this greenhouse....I dunno.......I just wonder why so small. Honestly I don't even care...I am just wanting to KNOW what is the cause....it seems which each thing I eliminate a new variable enters in.....harumph. Sorry so long winded...years writing contracts and grants.

hi what watt is your mh lamp if 250w 19 " is too far away 16" is max 400w 21" max

There sure is alot of conflicting info re: MH distance from tops of plants...I have heard everything from 10" to 48".....I have read in several locations that unless behind glass to reduce buld heat, never go closer than 24"......or is that just at first?? ARGH!! I am confused because of varying opinions.....guess what?? This is research and what did they teach us in Physics 420, create the stimulus and watch the response......so I guess I will just trial and error this bitch. so I guess I just need to baby her into taking higher doses of light until she can take it from 10" (pornographic post warning).....otherwise she just seems to be doing well. I actually have another plant that I intentionally nute burned to se if I could save it. I wanted to know what I might encounter if I nute burned a plant in the future from some quality seed stock. Research. Want to see pics of that, I'll post them.

So, I went in to check on her today, to see if the closer light and the direct constatnt fan had shown any result. Well, her leaves are definitely lusher and she is openeing them to the light. Bur her stem....she has leaned over from the wind, then started growing to the light so it looks like the stem is at a 45 degree angle but the top of the plant is at a 90. It's weird. I will post pics when my daughter gets donw with the camera. Peace.

i had this problem when on 24hr the stems need a rest time to heal they grow like ower muscles bendy bendy rips the stem tissue then rest so it has chance to regenerate fattern up try a rest from the fan go on soft light if poss or just leave them in darkness say 4 to 6 hrs off time

hehe all teh best man i hope it works it shud do those lil one cud handle some lumens now, i had mine like u veyr high then when i see they had some roots i fed em well, then lower the light to like 10-15 inches not toos ure but they love it, they growing so fast

She sure seems to have perked up since I lowered the lights......also I went from 24/0 to 18/6.....and I will set the fan to go off at the same time as the lights....let her little stem toughen up....and maybe by July she'll be ready to flower! j/k
