We left for the a weekend of hiking in the Rocky Mountains so the plants got a little bit out of control. Time to prune!
pH is finally back in range, after a week or 2 of low pH and stunted growth.
Days until 12/12 switch: 9

TODAY IT IS TIME TO PRUNE:

Definitely could have had much more vigorous growth if we had the T5 lights closer initially. I severely underestimated how close you can put those lights, but they're a pain to move in our current setup. The Snow Dawg starts off slower (it's got much more Indica in it) but our next Fire Alien Urkle cycle should easily be pushing 2 feet tall within 3 weeks of veg. I'm excited to see how quickly they flower. I'm expecting a roughly 60-75 day flowering, willing to wait 3 months for them to be ready to harvest though.

looking good keep the updates coming man sub'd up
Thanks man. It's my first grow op so comments like these are inspiring :)

I've got all the book-knowledge and a decent green thumb, this is my first attempt at applying what I've learned through the years now that I've finally got a place to grow!

minor update:

Currently upgrading ventilation and adding A/C unit as we prepare to switch from 90,000 lumens to 400,000 lumens for flowering.

Currently under Eye Hortilux 1000W Super Blue Dual-Arc HPS/MH and 2x 6-tube T5s. T5s on 24/0, 1000W on 18/6 for now to beat the heat until the AC is set up.

Nice looking setup and beautiful looking plants! Be glad you are growing OGR reg's instead of some feminized like me. I have 2 of his White Fire's going, and they both threw out some balls when they first showed their sex. I decided to pick them off and wait and see what happens. I'm on Day 23 of 12/12, and I haven't seen anymore. They are lloking really good besides that. Anyways is that Snowdog your growing from Alphakronik, or is it a clone from someone? I know they have a Snowdog 2 and a bunch of other crosses with Snowdog. I was just wondering, because I have grown Alphakronik's White Diamonds and it was one of the best strains I have grown in the 2 years I have been growing with quality genetics that I have bought. Thanks.

Definitely interested in seeing how these turn out for you!

Hey! Thanks for the comment!

I am unsure on the exact genetics of these strains, when I showed up my business partners already had the mothers fully grown, and they got them both via clone from a good friend.

The friend is trustworthy so I believed him when he said "Alien Urkle" and "Snowdawg", but my further research into the strains (mostly comparing pictures) makes me pretty confident that they are legitimately Fire Alien Urkle and Snowdawg, though if they are a closely related cross or further bred hybrid, I have no clue. We did not grow these from seed so I can really only trust what my buddy tells me they are.

Last week we lost 1 plant... still have no idea how. It went into full-wilt while the soil was still moist and never bounced back. I was certain it was root rot, but I examined the roots, the stem, checked pH, examined leaves, applied every ounce of knowledge I have (mostly just book-knowledge not experience) to try to figure out what went wrong, but I couldn't find anything.

And the last couple days have been a bit stressful, with high temps (80-82) and one night of a high temp fluctuation (fell to <65 following an 80 degree day). We returned our 10,000 BTU air conditioner in exchange for a 14,000 BTU air conditioner/heater combo, so now things are running much more smoothly, and hopefully the plants will recover quickly from the stress. So far the strain has been shown to be quite resilient to stress (from high soil pH to low soil pH to high water pH to high temperatures to low temperatures... 95% of the time things have been close to optimal [~75 degrees, ~40-50% humidity, ~6.5 soil pH, etc.] but those other times always have me worried!)

I will go take some pictures of current progress on all 27 plants currently in progress and post an update here shortly.

Current time is 2 days into Flowering(12/12) after approx. 40 days of veg(24/0). The plants should be much bigger than they are, but I'm still satisfied with how they look.

It's not picture-perfect, but this is our current (temporary) air-cooled 3000W set-up.

The room is still warming up a bit, but mostly stable at 70 degrees & ~50% humidity now. Beautiful.

Some beautiful foliage.

These mothers got out of control... they are flowering in the laundry room under a 400W HPS.

PICTURE UPDATE (1 WEEK INTO FLOWER):

Struggling with intermittent heat stress issues (temps reaching 80-85+), and on very hot nights having to turn down to 2600W or 2000W...

Our temporary set-up is far more inefficient than we planned for, but we're stuck at this point. Just have to do what we can to keep the heat down and make it to harvest. 12 of 13 plants are thriving, 1 is struggling from heat stress.

Hoping to still be able to yield 3+ pounds.

Just got my hands on a bag of some of the best pre-98 bubba kush I've ever had... and I'm pretty sure the guy knows the grower. Going to have to try to get my hands on a clone!

Smoking pre-98 Bubba Kush today. I think my roommate turned a light on in the laundry room in the middle of their dark cycle, so they are taking longer to go into flowering :(

The 13 plants in the other room look great though, already starting to shoot white pistils everywhere. Lights are off right now but I'll update some pics tonight.

A few updated pics. Still struggling with heat, ambient temperatures are getting very high, can't keep our temporary box as cool as I would like, yield is going to suffer.
