Pictures 6 weeks into flower

Hey All. I haven't posted any updated pics for a long time. I started the 12/12 light cycle on November 2nd. I'm one lucky bastard as both of my plants turned out to be females.

I can't thank the senior members and moderators on this website enough. With Widow's guide as my main source, and a question or two here and there, I think this growing experience has been a real success. This is my first grow, and it turned out like I've been growing for marijuana for twenty years.

Thanks to all who have been kind enough to help me on my journey, and by the looks of it I only have about 5 weeks to go! Hooray!!

I think the closest resemblance of my plant is called Jack the Ripper. Check out HIGH TIMES November issue.

Hey Tenn I think you prolly have closer to 8 weeks to go. Be patient. Everything looks good as far as the health of the plant but it seems like its taking its time. I usually have buds like that in about 2-3 weeks or less. Dont take it the wrong way, you are doing good. I think you just need more light probably. What are you using for light? I forgot. Now is when they need more light than ever. Maybe its the strain. But it looks nice and healthy. No burns. Very good first grow so far. But the hard part is yet to come. The plant knows death is close and it will start to get sad about it. lol. Keep us updated.

The reason it's taking so long, is because I'm using two 23 watt CFL's, and one 15W warm flouro. I can wait eight weeks no problem. What do you mean the plants will get "sad" about it?

yeah in the last couple weeks the plant "feels" its impending death aand will start to show signs of "depression" if you will...such as drooping more than usual maybe even gettin yellow as it sucks out the last nute reserve...the worst part is it gets even sadder because its not able to reproduce w/o males present(unless it hermies of course) so its like a double wammy...so when you think there may be a problem in last few weeks keep this in mind as it could just be getting sad

I have never budded with cfls but I think you need a few more. Any cfl people got any input?

I'll get one for my next grow. I'm just working on keeping the plants healthy this time around. I'm actually gonna order name brand seeds from Amsterdam next grow. I'm thinking White Widow, and Purple Kush.

if ur thinking of getting seeds get some greenhouse ones there good esp the femaleised ones and u do need hps lamp to finish ur crop now even if its a 250w u will see a big difference they are v good

Hey man... I am currently growing 2 plants with 3 CFL 27 watt bulbs and reflectors on each plant. The growth is very good and I plan on Flowering with them too. Its fine to flower with them but I would reccommend about 6 CFL lights with reflectors to get maximum growth... It will make a HUGE difference. And if you're worried about the heat because of all the lights drop some money on a fan that turns back and forth. to distribute the cool wind should drop temp about 5 degrees... try not to do the microwave thing couse ur stressing the plant and it will cost you in the ling run

they look good man, i think widow maker is right tho i think you need more lights. even if you can wait 14 weeks why would you want too that just sounds FOREVER. Cfls are cheap and i think you would see a huge difference.

yeah. im from the north ,so we have tractor and supplys up here. and they actualy have standart hid lights. and lamp holders. its sick man. im gonna set mine up for my next grow with two high watt cfls and one 125 hid . but due to lack of space im gonna have to bud as soon as my plants hit 13". and im using some seeds from a good bag i smoked . so theres another downer

i first started out with a seed, grew with 3 daylight cfls until i needed to reorganize my space and then i switched to 5 cfls for one plant, and now im running with 4 daylight cfls, and three soft white cfls during the 12/12. growth throughout all stages has been i guess rather well considering some of the negative feedback ive found about cfl grows. i contain almost all the light from the cfls and the whole plant gets lit up. and she seems rather happy. im guessing i'll get a halfie at least. its like day 20 of flower i think and i have a few quarter sized buds already.

im using some fertilizer i found in the shed. its for roses, but its high in nitrates, potassium and other essentials including micronutrients. i did a little test and almost killed off another plant, but she's hanging in there by pouring an extremely concentrated amount of of the fert on the plant. leaves are dying but new growth keeps appearing which seems to be very healthy so i wonder what the hell is going on. i guess the fert is very gentle on this plant though....its worked beautifully for me.

Not good,Get a better light.You should have nice sized colas at the 6th week.
