OK, but you can just dim it down to the rated wattage if you were concerned with that.
That makes sense, However if using the same model COB it wouldn't be a problem I wouldn't think?
I understand how that could be a problem and I have heard a lot of people say that, I have 8 cobs connected to each 320, I would have to lose 5 out of 8 cobs before it became an issue, but I can understand how if you were driving your cob's to the max you could be in trouble if one fails, but if you are driving your cob's that hard in the first place your efficiency isn't much better than a HPS setup..
Yes, you are also right. There are several ways to avoid problems with parallel operation. As I said, it is just my personal decision to use no parallel circuit. Something else is series parallel switching (for instance 3S2P), but that is another matter.
