Pie Plate Crumble

Its been a while since I myself have made crumble..

So decided to watch a few videos and came across an extraction artist that uses a pie plate inside of the vacuum chamber to achieve crumble. Im sure a lot of whipping is involved but it looked like a quick and easy process so thought i'd share it with the forum. What ill be using is a basic pyrex pie plate. I checked to see if the 5gallon vac chamber has enough room for the plate and it does

Barely has enough room… but it fits with about an 1/8 inch to play with.

Very basic extraction process..
1.Blast material into pie plate.
2.Evap butane off.
3.Whip…whip….and whip again..
4. Place pie plate in chamber for atleast 35 hours I'm thinking. I won't take it out until the bho is completely dry and crumbles into small pieces.

Again this is very basic and straight forward so don't critique me too hard o.O!!!
Ill be doing the run soon so ill post progress and how it comes out of course.

Well she aint purdy, but the material i ran was not cure out well. It was bone dry after taking it out of the freezer but think the grower had spent a little to much time in the dry room.

When I used the pie plate for the full purge on the first run it seemed to want to turn into sappy or shattery consistency. I had another extraction artist that i live with turn the temps up way high when i wasn't looking (200F). Needless to say… i was pissed…
Because of this i can't definitively say what went wrong.. very frustrating.

Second run is going a lot better. still a bit dark in coloration but seems to be waxing up better. I found that it is better to scrape the bho after initial whipping process and put onto parchment paper. Let the bho sit in the vac chamber under low heat (95-105). The bho began to wax about an hour or two later. After 3 hours of heat purging vac was turned on and naturally sped up the waxing process.
