Piggybacking power strips

Is it safe at low currents? I just want to be able to plug in about 4 to 6 26 watt CFLs and that's it... I think they provide the warning not to plug a power strip into an existing one just as a precaution.

Don't go over 15 amps or you will start over heating (which means bad things happen). A good thing to think about is volts * amps = watts ... so amps = watts/volts. 6 26 watt cfl's only equates to (assuming 120 volts) (26/120)*6 = 1.3 amps ... so you should be fine. How many plants though? 6 26 watt cfl's will (from my experience) grow about two plants, anything more requires a peck more light there hon. Just a bit to think about. I've been using 22 26-30 watt cfl's to grow my four hindu kush plants. Granted it's in a fairly tight place they still require a lot of light and good ventilation. Non-the-less, hope this helps, and good luck!
