Are you drywalled? Go with the brightest MATTE white you can get. A titanium (oxide) white would be best

No drywall made that mistake on the last room I built! This room is 100% osb! What I should Of asked is are there any paints that should not be used in grow room! My first attempt at growing was in a plant killing hydro hut! All most gave up thought it was me! Turn out my tent was killing them!

I've heard about that problem with the plastic tents out gassing, and even smelled the odor when a friend of mine bought one. Supposedly they addressed and fixed that issue, but I don't see how. I even smelled it when I Panda filmed my first room, tho I didn't have any issues.
Drywall shouldn't be a problem in a grow room with proper humidity control, but OSB is fine, you'll just have to primer the hell out of the wood, I think. I use the titanium oxide white (Sherman Williams mixes it for me) in a latex based paint. I wouldn't use an oil, if for no other reason than my own comfort. Oil paint stinks for a while.
