Pinching ok during flowering?

Is it ok to pinch your plants during flowering?

I had a few plants growing much taller then a few others. They are 12 days into flowering.

I gently pinched the tops, and pushed the top over.

Didn't think this might only been for during veg period =O

yea, during flowering they dont grow out from the tip anymore, so topping isnt needed.
if it was stretching too tall you could have tied it down

if you pinch the tops during veg, it splits into two smaller stalks from that point upwards, and so on

So what is going to happen? It wont form a new bud site? I'm guessing i just stunted the growth?

which if that is so thats fine with me...luckily i only did it to 3 of my 14 plants....

its not a good idea in flower. you will still get a good bud there but it might be a couple different shoots...sometimes ends up with a cool looking bud though

the plants will stop stretching in about a week. they always double or tripple in sixe the first few weeks then just start fattening. you should be close to the end of that stage

I just had to slow those few down...my cabinet is crowded right now since i still have 14 plants =O...hopefully by this weekend i can identify 8 females (already see 4 definates) so i can put them into their nice new pots...

males usually stretch more too so you might be tossing them anyway. youll see signs around the second to top node.

just wanted to share my experience tonight so no one does what i did =[

watering my plants tonight and transplanting a few into some larger pots i broke off the tops of 2 females =[...

hoping they will be ok and it will just slow down the vertical growth like i intended...

i wanted to keep the tops they were so purdy with white hairs =[

cut off yer top and put it in a glass of water, this young in the game clone that bitch and keep her going! just a simple cup of water, in constant indirect light, or make a couple clones out of her, just a thought
