pineapple hermed

I had a pineapple plant appear to have hermed, noticed at harvest. I've only had a few seeds come from about a 4 oz harvest. My concerns are the other plants that were in flower with this plant. Should i be concerned about pollination of other females???? Help....

Depends on whether it was a stray nanner or a flowers on say one of the others. I'm guessing a stray nanner.

Probably will be ok. SOunds like it may have been a stray as you were saying. Just keep an eye on it.

first my grow is legal.. but more advice needed. let me elaborate my situation. i had timer fault, lights on 2-3 hours longer than 12, two separate days. examined other plants in grow to see male flowers or seed pods. what should be done for this situation. i've heard take male flowers completely off, cut the seed pods out. also seem to have some buds that appear to be both male/female..12 plants total in flower...4 only 2 weeks..should i be concerned about them herming?

I wouldn't make light of it, one opened male flower can totally contaminate a small grow. It all depends where you're at in the budding cycle, too. The further in your are, the less it will impact the plants. At this point, just watch for pistils (white hairs) to start turning brown suddenly. To be prudent, before your next grow, give the area a little spray down with a highly diluted bleach and water solution to prevent further unwanted pollination.
