Closet: 3' x 2.5' x 5.5'
Method: Bubbleponics (3 Gallon buckets w/air-stone & hose)
Light: 400w HPS
Nutrients: GH Micro, Bloom, CalMag+ (w/ RO water), and AquaShield
Nutrient Amounts:
GH Micro - 8ml/gallon
Bloom - 16ml/gallon
CalMag+ - 5ml/gallon
AquaShield - 10ml/gallon
This is my 3rd grow and I am seeing something that I did not see happen on my first two grows. I am growing 3 strains including Blackberry. The one Blackberry plant that I have has been topped several times and is approximately 3 weeks and 3 days into 12/12 as I type. The plant has shot up to roughly 4+ feet over the last 3 weeks.
The buds sites are forming all over the plant minus about the bottom foot, which I cleared off (leaves and branches) before switching to 12/12. I trimmed the plant back pretty extensively. The purpose was to fight height because I have a mini grow of the strain growing in a disposable butter dish and it shot up quickly.
Anyhow some of the bud sites at the top of the big Blackberry plant are withering at what I consider to be a little to early. The calyxes look fine as in they are green and are not shriveling up or anything. Its just the hairs dying off on a few of the tops. The buds sites below the top on the same branch look fine albeit one or two. And the issue has not really gotten out of hand but the number has grown from 2 to about 5+ total bud sites that have withered. The reservoirs are topped off and pH corrected every 2 days, and the pH never falls out of the desired range that I use of 5.5-6.5.
I know this is probably a lot of information for what you guys are going to tell me is such a small problem so let me just say in advance that I blame the plants. Seriously though I am hoping that its a natural progression for this strains so anyone that has experienced it please give me some pointers or tell me to chill out or something.
