I think it's weird, yes. But it's not uncommon, either.Gotta odd question for you? When I look at moose I don't necessarily see him as a dog. He's just like a child with fur. lol. It's just like we connect on more than an owner/pet level. Is that weird?
I connect with my dogs on a primal level, and it's a heartfelt, soulful thing for me. There really truly is nothing like being out on the trail, in the middle of wilderness, and it's you and the dogs, everyone's got each other's backs kind of thing. We "feed" off of each other. But, they are always "dog" and I am always "human". You know I pretty much don't ever allow them inside, either, unless the weather is really bad (too hot or too cold). (One of the reasons why I don't prefer to have small or toy breeds.)
