On ships we always had "Channel Fever" the night before we pulled into home port - the Chief's Mess would traditionally take over the galley & make pizza for the whole crew.
I took a cardboard box, cut out a circle & then into slices - installed the correct fixings, and had it delivered out of the oven by the mess cook directly to the wardroom.

Pre-cellphone era unfortunately. It was hilarious!
