placement of circulation fans

Hey all,

Ok so let's say I have a 5x6 hydro table (dwc, aero, e'n'f, doesn't matter) inside a 10x10 bedroom, so I have plenty of access around the edges to trim, inspect, etc.

Now obviously, there is going to be panda film on all four sides to maximize the light landing on the plants.

So where do I put the circulation (not exhaust) fans?? Inside the grow area, somehow suspended upside-down above the canopy, blowing sorta downwards across the canopy? Outside the grow area, and maybe pointing into a gap that I can leave between the bottom line of the panda film and the top of the table?

Thanks!

OSCILATING FANS

An oscilating fan is a necessity to me, in growing.
First it cools the area. Consider in nature, outdoors, plants get breezes and strong winds blown on them, for a reason.
Second, you know how to strenghten a muscle, or make it larger, or stronger or grow faster? You exercise it, you MOVE it.
To strenghten a plants stem, stalk or branch, or make it larger, or stronger or grow faster, you MOVE it too, with an oscilating FAN blowing on it.

Fans help with Temps, Humidity Control, Moisture Control, etc.

Air movement is very necessary for the health of your plants, but too strong of a fan can cause wind burn. Direct your fan toward the tops of the plants and toward the lights. Never position the fan blowing strongly downward on the leaves or you can get wind burn.

Thanks Roseman. I certainly am aware that circulation is a necessity, not an option!

I am just trying to understand how people get their fans in there, when the panda film needs to be as close as possible to the edge of the grow area in order to maximize light?

If, as you suggest, the fans should be pointing up towards the tops of the plants and towards the lights, that would mean that they need to be down low, lower than the canopy. How would you do that inside the grow area, and still have the panda film as close as possible to the edge of the grow area??

Anyone else? How do you get a fan in your growing area while still keeping the panda film as close as possible to the plants?

If it were me I would find a way to hand/suspend the fan from above so as your light(s) are raised the fan could be aimed to blow on the canopy of your plants, or better yet if you use a high wattage light(s) and there is a considerable distance between the light(s) and the tops of the plant so the fan would blow between the two.

I only aim a fan directly on the main body of plants if I am concerned that I may be nearing an over watering condition and I want to draw out as much moisture as I can as quickly as I can through transpiration and also additional evaporation directly from the soil, and that will only be for a limited period of time.
