Planning first grow

I have been getting awesome help and some beginner questions answered in the general hydro forum but, would like to start one here to get a more thought out plan put together as well as more specific DTW issues.

I was initially going to plant into soil but, since my tent is small it was suggested I go coco to maximize yields and space.

Set-up:

-Tent: 24x24x60

-Lights: 400w MH kit. I will be growing autos so, will have to get an HPS bulb my ballast does take both.

-Carbon filter and inline fan

- 1 Oscillating fan

- 5 maybe 6; 1.5 gallon pots

As far as set-up is this good? I have attached a sketch of set-up.


Supplies:

-5 Auto purple Kush seeds

-PH and PPM meter

-Perlite

-Canna Coco

-Canna A & B

-Canna Flush

-Canna rhizotonic

-Formulex I can not find this in the states and good subs?

Now I am still a bit confused on the watering. I plan on hand watering I read through the whole thread linked and though it states how much nutes to water per liter it does not say how to water or how much.

I had some good advice from member Silky Slagshot, "mix 5-10 gallons at a time. water/feed, till i hear dripping" How would yo go about this if watering multiple times a day?

How does the whole plan/set-up look so far? Any input/suggestions?

I run 3g containers with trees watered daily in 100%coco, my sog plants i run rolled down 3g plastic bags and they are most likely about 1g of coco, and they are watered daily. I also will hit them with enough water/feed that about 10-20% of what i pour in comes out as runoff. Ill aslo feed organics once a week but that just to flush salts a bit.
The best way to water is to scrape up some soil along the top layer especially around the rim of the pot, if there is a 1 inch or so gap between the lip and the top of the coco just flood the entire pot and let it drain through, gravity is your freind

I run nutes from start to finish, i use a 6ml per gal micro and 9ml per gal bloom with 4ml gal cal-mag. Ill run about 600-800ppm the entire grow When i mix at these strengths with my 110ppm tap water i get a ph of 5.8 to 6.0 so i dont use any adjusters. Its probably not as high performamce as some systems but its as idiot proof as hydro can get.

that sounds like an easy method.. I just started using one part powder called veg n bloom so far perfect i use only 1/4 of dosage as well do to 222ppm right out of tap but running between 6 and 700
